Why have you chosen to apply to Texas Tech University?
As much as I love the football team, I chose to apply to Texas Tech because of their academics. Texas Tech is among the best universities in the country. I also chose Texas Tech because of the people. On my campus visit, I found that the students and staff were very nice and welcoming. Why have you chosen to major in Electrical Engineering and Mathematics ?
I have chosen to major in Electrical Engineering and Mathematics because of my experiences in high school. I had the opportunity to work for a radio station during the summers. At school, I took engineering classes all four years. I was able to work on amplifiers, microcontrollers, and other electrical components. I have grown
...Selecting a college to attend was a lengthy process. I applied to four different schools. I outweighed all the pros and cons of each college. The ultimate goal was to persevere and graduate with a degree. As a high school student, I think I found Ohio State appealing because of all the hype that surrounded it. Once I came to the conclusion that I wanted to go into the medical field, I realized that I needed to be in an atmosphere where I could maintain my focus. Nonetheless, the most consequential influencing factor was regarding finances. Case was extremely expensive but I received a substantial amount of financial help compared to Ohio State. In addition, I was fortunate to obtain a work study job that helped with living expenses. I knew that college would not be easy especially given Case’s reputation. In the end, I am confident I made the correct decision.
UTK is a the university that I want to attend because it will give me a great opportunity to be a success student, and because the city it is located in is a beautiful place and has different social opportunities. Also because the school spirit and everyone there feels like your
I would like to attend Tech Trek, because of all the intriguing classes and experiences Tech Trek offers. For example, looking at the detailed UC San Diego website, every class, especially the Robotics and Polymers classes, fascinates me. Seeing girls like me making putty, building bridges that can withstand the weight of heavy objects, programming robots, and holding organs makes me eager to attend Tech Trek. I also believe I can make many new friends from other areas. In addition, I feel that Tech Trek will somehow inspire me to continue pursuing a career in math and science.
One major contribution I make to Texas Tech is through my work with community service. Every Texas Tech student contributes to the university though his or her actions everyday, both on campus and off campus. I choose to contribute through my actions off campus by constantly working to serve the Lubbock community in anyway possible. Working to better impact the lives of under privileged Lubbock children, helping serve at Lubbock soup kitchens, and corresponding with national community service organizations helps me to best represent my school and my values. Every time I allot an hour or two of my time to plan or attend a community service event, the school’s name is looked upon in a positive light for shaping students who will not only
When I decided to attend Northern Arizona University and be a Lumberjack, it was initially due to its reputation as the best teachers college in Arizona, but ironically, I have never been an education major, or taken any education courses. Education was an overcrowded field, so I entertained the idea of being a Computer Science major. Ha! That lasted less than a month before I knew that was going to fail.
There were several factors that played into why I chose to attend Truett-McConnell. I have played soccer since I was five years old and ever since I started I had a dream to play college soccer. My dream was to play soccer at Samford University in Birmingham, AL. My aunts, uncles, both grandparents, mom, dad, and now older brother have all attended Samford. Going there would have been fantastic but God had other plans for me.
Firstly, my academic career is very important to me. I try my best to go the extra mile in everything I pursue. My preferred subjects include marketing and math. I enjoy learning about these because I feel that math
I am pursuing an engineering degree. More specifically I am going to major in Aerospace engineering and Mechanical engineering. I am getting 2 degrees so I have more stability because of the lower number of Aerospace Engineering jobs in the United States. The reason I wish to pursue these is for the interest I have in the subjects underlying these degrees and the challenges I will face. I am pursuing Aerospace Engineering for my interest in the subject, and i’m going to get a Mechanical Engineering to increase my net worth and job security.
Being the top student in my secondary school (with 85.5%), I got admitted into Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering at MIT, Ujjain. My curriculum enhanced my knowledge in Microprocessors, Digital Signal Processing, and Analytical and Industrial Instrumentation. Having a strong zeal towards Information System and Computer Programming, I have also learned different languages like C, C++, SQL and PL/SQL.
Choosing a major is never an easy work. I have to know and understand the major in the first place, and then seek the value of learning that major. Based on my own experience, I have to get clear with the subjects that I need to learn. Most importantly, what is my future going to be if I choose that major as the direction of my life. As an electrical engineering student, I believe that the technology surrounds us will continue to expand and engineers will lead the way.
This school was a good choice for me because I am currently in a top five accredited forensic chemistry program and have learned so much over the last three and a half years. Attending the University of Mississippi has given me the opportunity to be in a lab setting and experience first hand what it is like to perform experiments and test substances. I have also received the opportunity to research the effects of marijuana on the renal system and will begin this coming spring
When I was thinking about going to the U.S. I had afraid because social media show many negative activities in the U.S. I was afraid of going because I was told by my friends and family that there are many things there that will shock you, mostly culture. For example, racism, and how hard is it to practice your religion there. The circumstance that led me to come to the U.S is that I want to get my bachelor degree. I decided to come to the U.S. to study, in Texas. I heard that people in Texas are not in good behavior, and they have some sort of hate towards black or dark skinned people.
Engineering has been a key interest of mine since childhood. While still in grade school I enjoyed listening to my father, an electrical engineer, teach me about advances in technology, and was always eager to hear more. I was introduced to my first computer at the age of five, and have loved interacting with them ever since. My decision to study engineering as a career was no surprise to those who knew me.
Electrical engineering is the major that I am pursuing during my college career. I decided to pursue this major because it is a career, which requires knowledge in other subjects, it is a career, which changes often, and everyday it provides a person with new problems to solve.
• Interests- Since my father bought my first K’nex set, a type of model building using sticks and gears, I enjoyed using my creativity towards engineering. I also enjoy mathematics, which influences a great deal in the major.
