According to Peter Kaufman, globalization is the process in which products, ideas and cultures are exchanged around the world. Globalization is found everywhere. Each individual might be from a certain part of the world, but the products in its house might not; for instance, an individual’s laptop might be made in China. Ultimately, the increase of globalization in the last few decades has had a powerful impact in the world, and will likely to continue in the future. One of the huge supporters towards globalization are the millennials. Millennials are the young adults that were raised during the era of globalization (Slavin, 2016). Every country a person visits, they will come across the same company names, such as Nike, McDonalds, Burgerking and much more. Nowadays, a traveler would probably choose the same food choices it has back home (Kaufman, 2015). This is true because whenever I travel, I tend to visit the same shops or restaurants, as I have in my own country. If I am feeling hungry in a new country, I would probably stop at Burgerking to get myself a Whopper. Even when it comes to shopping in another country, I would defiantly go to Zara, as it is my favorite shop. In general, people would choose the same products as they would in their local area, since every part of the world has similar company chains. With people across the globe consuming the same food or choosing the same products, they are sharing a similar culture, which means globalization is found in many places. Globalization is extending more when countries share similar culture, and it will continue if people keep choosing same goods. Technology and globalization work hand in hand.
