The Holocaust happened mostly because German Chancellor Adolf Hitler was angry at the Jews. He believed that they started World War I. he also believed that the Jews were the cause of all of Germany’s problems. He was also angry at homosexuals and people who were not like him.
First, the Holocaust was a dark time in the history of the world. One definition of the word holocaust is “a mass slaughter of people; especially genocide” (Holocaust). This is an extreme form of racism. The Holocaust was a “mass slaughter of European civilians, especially Jews, by the Nazis in
The Holocaust was the time period when Adolf Hitler was in control of the territory of Germany and wanted the extinction of the Jews. The Holocaust was a very vigorous on the Jews because they were treated the worst and had the worst living conditions. The Holocaust derived the Jews of their wealth, and little bit of humanity that they held dear to themselves. Adolf Hitler established laws to make it basically illegal to be a Jew in Germany. Since Adolf Hitler was in power he commanded that all Jews properties and valuables be taken. For example, in the book “Maus” it states, “He had to sell his business to a German and run out from the country without even the money.”(
The Holocaust was a very sad time in the world. Holocaust was the killing of millions of Jews and other people by the Nazis during World War II. The Nazi who was an army, very powerful and claim control of Germany in January 1933. Their beliefs were that the Germans were the ‘’superior race’’ and that the Jews, deemed "inferior," were an alien threat to the so-called German racial community.
The Holocaust was a horrible time for everyone involved, but for the Jews it was the worst. The Jews no longer had names they became numbers. Also they would fight and the S.S. would watch and enjoy. They lost all personal items, then forced to look and dress the same. This was an extremely painful and agonizing process to dehumanize the Jews. Which made it easier to take control of the Jews and get rid of them.
During World War II there was event that lead to deaths of millions of innocent people. This even is known as the holocaust, millions of innocent people were killed violently, there was mass murders, rapes and horrific tortures. The question I will attempt to answer in the course of this paper is if the holocaust was a unique event in history. In my opinion there were other mass murders that people committed justified by the feeling of being threatened. But I don 't believe that any were as horrific and inhumane as Germany’s genocide of the Jewish people.

For some, it seems that the Holocaust in another lifetime, but for others it will be something they will never forget. Holocaust was a time for fighting. The Jewish would fight for the right to live as they were killed solely for being Jewish. The Holocaust began in 1939 and would continue through 1945. It was introduced by Nazi leader Adolf Hitler, although he did not act alone. His mission would be to “exterminate” all minorities, but most abundantly, the Jews. The Holocaust was the mass murder of over ten million European 'undesireables' between 1941 and 1945 by the Nazi regime. Hitler and his Nazis established a large number of labor and death camps throughout Nazi occupied countries. A holocaust, by definition, is a mass human slaughter caused by fire. These events Hitler authorized were categorized as a holocaust because after the prisoners in the camps died, or, if they were at a labor camp, close enough to death that they were no longer of any use to the Nazi guards stationed at the camp they were at, the guards would burn the bodies in mass. The purpose, center and essence of the Holocaust lies within one man, Adolf Hitler.
The Holocaust has many reasons to it. Some peoples’ questions are never answered about the Holocaust and some answers are. The Holocaust killed over 6 million Jews (Byers.p.10.) Over 1.5 million children (Byers, p.10.)They were all sent to concentration camps to do hard labor work. Jewish people weren’t the only ones sent to concentration camps. People such as people with disabilities, Homosexuals, Gypsies, Jehovah’s Witnesses, Communists, and Socialists (Byers.p.12). Everyone that was sent to concentration camps was sent via Train cars (www.historychannel.com). They had no food, water, or rest rooms up to 18 days. Many people died from the lack of food and water (Byers, p.15.). They children under 12 and elderly were sent to death camps because they were too weak or young too do the hard labor work so they were exterminated quickly (Byers, p.17.). Everybody at the camps were ordered to wear a certain colored star so they were easily spotted. The Holocaust went on from 1939 to 1945. Throughout all those years it was BAD.
A holocaust is defined as a disaster that results with the tremendous loss of human life. History, however, generally identifies the Holocaust to be the series of events that occurred in the years before and during World War II. The Holocaust started in 1933 with the persecuting and terrorizing of Jews by the Nazi Party, and ended in 1945 with the murder of millions of helpless Jews by the Nazi war-machine. "The Holocaust has become a symbol of brutality and of one people's inhumanity to another." (Resnick p. 11)
The Holocaust could best be defined as the mass killing of about 6 million Jewish people during World War II. A lot of events led up to the Holocaust, during the Holocaust, and even after the Holocaust. Adolf Hitler, the leader of the Nazi party and was held most responsible for this terrible genocide. The aftermath of the Holocaust left over six million Jews perished and the survivors in pain and anguish, each of their lives impacted forever by reliving the horrid events of this unspeakable tragedy every day. They needed to pick up the pieces to continue living by fleeing to different countries, assimilating into new cultures, and beginning new families to create happy memories. This being challenging for many of them, forced some of the survivors to suppress their emotions about the past in order to accomplish these newer lives while others to talk about it frequently. Each of them had their own methods to cope with the affects and thoughts they had after the Holocaust; their methods having its own advantages and disadvantages. This goes to show that the Holocaust survivors were affected more than ones mind

This murder of the “Jewish people of Europe began in spring 1941.”( Feldman 213) The Holocaust was one of the most harshest things done to mankind.
The Holocaust was one of the most tragic and trying times for the Jewish people. Hundreds of thousands of Jews and other minorities that the Nazis considered undesirable were detained in concentration camps, death camps, or labor camps. There, they were forced to work and live in the harshest of conditions, starved, and brutally murdered. Horrific things went on in Auschwitz and Majdenek during the Holocaust that wiped out approximately 1,378,000 people combined. “There is nothing that compares to the Holocaust.” –Fidel Castro
