A ray of light completely filled the room. Daisy was stirring in her bed, feeling the warmth of the sunlight bursting through the window. Her eyes flickered open, adjusting to the light. She glanced around her room, thinking about a dream she had last night. She sat upright in her bed, rubbing her eyes; remembering if it was a dream or if it was real. She gently touched the back of her head, which stung. She realized it was real. Her thoughts were interrupted by a knock on the door.
Daisy jumped out of bed, grabbing her dressing gown. She wrapped it around her body and shuffled towards the door. She opened it and Joan strolled into the room.
“How long did you plan to sleep in for?” Joan spoke, as she dropped herself on to my bed. Daisy let

She was suddenly startled by Joan’s sudden shriek.
“There is blood on your pillow; did you have a nose bleed or something?” Joan investigated the spots of blood on Daisy’s pillow.
I was hoping it could have been a dream, Daisy thought.
“I think I bumped my head somehow last night, and probably cut it.” Daisy lied again. Joan jumped up to her feet and moved towards Daisy. She put either hand on each side of Daisy’s face and pulled her head down to her level; she inspected Daisy’s head.
“Holy, how hard did you say you hit it? It might need stitches or this thing is going to keep bleeding out.” Joan spoke. She moved bits of Daisy’s hair, making sure she can’t see any infections. “I think you need to see a doctor,” she carried on. There was seriousness in her voice, which made Daisy realize that the wound on the back of her head was in bad condition.
“I know a doctor who is here; maybe he can take a look for me.” Daisy found herself saying. Though, she had thoughts that he might have something to do with the files from last night. But this could be her chance to find something out; maybe she might find something to do with the

“I slipped and hit it, and fell unconscious.” Daisy explained. She felt Charles moving parts of her hair around, poking and prodding the wound. She flinched when it hurt. Daisy watched his reaction to her lie to see if he knew anything about what was happening, but he didn’t seem to react to her at all.
“I’m going to stitch this up, it may sting a bit.” Charles warned, getting his equipment ready to stitch her head. She saw him pull out a needle from his bag, her eyes widen in shock that he was going to use it. She glanced over to Joan who had the same expression on her face.
She closed her eyes as he started to stitch up her head, she could feel him pulling and pushing the wound. Daisy couldn’t feel much pain, only a sting every now and then. She started to think what Mia and Dale were both up to right now, wondering if they have found any news about the files.
“All done,” Charles finished. He picked up a cloth and started to wipe his hands. Daisy went to touch her head but Charles stopped her. “There is still a chance it could get infected,” he explained. She put her hands back down to her
Daisy’s face was filled with fear as she slowly stood up and walked around the room. “She was…she was killed?” Daisy questioned in a trembling voice.
In The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald, Nick’s unreliability as a narrator is blatantly evident, as his view of Gatsby’s actions seems to arbitrarily shift between disapproval and approval. Nick is an unreliable and hypocritical narrator who disputes his own background information and subjectively depicts Gatsby as a benevolent and charismatic host while ignoring his flaws and immorality from illegal activities. He refuses to seriously contemplate Gatsby’s negative attributes because of their strong mutual friendship and he is blinded by an unrealized faith in Gatsby. Furthermore, his multitude of discrepancies damage his ethos appeal and contribute to his lack of dependability.
In the iconic novel published from the 1920's, the author displays many themes such as appearance vs reality, disillusion, love and relationship, corruption, and differences in social class. In The Great Gatsby, F. Scott Fitzgerald believes that belief in romantic destiny has dire consequences as demonstrated throughout the novel.
The Great Gatsby tells a story of eight people during the summer of 1922 from the observation of Nick Carraway. It's a story about trying to achieve the unattainable, deceit, and tragedy. It takes place around the character Jay Gatz who becomes Jay Gatsby in an attempt to change his persona and attract his long lost love, Daisy. In Nick's telling of the story, Nick and everyone who knew Gatsby, thought he was great. Gatsby threw lavish parties at his beautiful mansion every weekend. He had money, even though no one really seemed to know how he made his money. Gatsby spends years of his life trying to win the heart back of Daisy Buchanan. When they met years ago, he was in the Army and didn't have much money. Daisy came from a wealthy family and she couldn't marry a poor man. This is what drives Jay Gatz to become Jay Gatsby and impress the girl to get her back.
“Can’t repeat the past?’ he [Gatsby] cried incredulously. ‘Why of course you can!” (Fitzgerald 110). With that one line, F. Scott Fitzgerald in his novel The Great Gatsby seals his fate.
The End of Brad It was November 23, 2016. The weather was kinda chilly, I mean it was fall. Jake and Logan were to meet up at around 5ish. They were both going to a Post Malone concert.
Allie cleared the frost off the car window using her sleeve. Her hands grown pale and stiff from the early morning chill. She knew she should have stolen that winter coat she saw at Target yesterday. It would have been so easy to walk away with it during the holiday rush.
The cool, autumn wind blows breezly through Springtown Falls. Mild, is the air, as 16 year old Jake walks home through the large and green forest, as the bright sun smiles down on him, after a tremendous day from school. As he is on his way, Jake stumbles upon a cardboard box. Questions begin to emerge in his head. What could be in there?
It took Neil nine days to recover. The first few were pretty awful; he could barely move without being in pain. I ended up bringing in my favorite book, The Great Gatsby, reading it to him to try and keep his mind off of the pain. After the pain came the cough. With his weak body, it took all of the energy inside of him to do so.
It was a nice and sunny day in the town of Riverdale. The Perkins family decided to take a vacation. But one thing stood in their way, Doggo the family pet. Doggo sensed that the family was going somewhere, somewhere special. He didn't want to be left behind and miss all of the fun.
Her mother was taken back by it but quickly regathered herself. “That’s nice sweetheart.” was all Daisy’s mom said. I said my goodbyes to Daisy and headed downstairs with Mrs. Breckenwood. “ Has Daisy been talking to ‘Charlotte’ for a while?”
Elizabeth made a bone appear out of thin air and striked Dr. Devyn's hand. She dropped Elizabeth and laughed, "You're aiming is horrible, don't you remember? I already have holes in
Carlton and Rignuth visited Audra for the next two mornings. Carlton demanded she state she was ill, so he might release her early, but she refused. On the final morning, she was freed from her cell well before sunrise and was more than ready to fall into bed and get a few hours of proper sleep for the first time in days. However, first, she insisted on speaking to Macsen, who had several more days of his sentence left to serve.
With the left eye now open and almost seeing clearly, Lily began working on the right. Gently putting her finger on it she cringed in pain and could tell it was raw and swollen. "The blunt force of his fist to my eye socket must have burst open every capillary I have because it is causing some severe hemorrhaging," she whispered softly, then laughed out loud. “I can't believe I not only know those words, but I fricking know what they mean,” she said with a hint of proud. “God bless Google.”Calming down from feeling so delighted in finding something so funny in something so repeatedly horrible, she looked around the room with her one good eye. She knew she was in her room and lying in her bed, but she wanted to know what needed to be replaced or fixed since her belongings usually got caught in the crossfire or aftershock. Mirrors were all intact so no seven years of bad luck, she thought and became delighted again. “Thank God, how much more bad luck can I endure?” she asked herself and continued assessing. It didn't seem like any dressers needed repair, or that she needed to hold another Teddy Bear funeral (A ritual of standing above her, and ripping apart a childhood memory was not an every fight occurrence, but a satisfying one for Rick when performed). Not wanting to hold her breath, but it actually gave her hope that maybe the kitchen and living room fared as well. Noticing it was dark past the window Lily leaned out from the bed to peek outside, where she saw it was still dark. Turning towards the alarm clock trying to ignore the sharp pain in her neck she saw the obscured red digital lights. Not giving her any clue of the time since they just sat there on her clock like a big fat red blur, she decided she had no choice but to...
With brute strength, I throw her, causing her to tumble across the room. She breaks her fall using her forearms and knees leaving cuts and bruises. There is blood on the floor. Myrtle swiftly gets and fetches her red scarf of the old dresser and heads for the door as if she her got hurt. My eyes are still shut; I’m frozen.
