Introduction
Ruth, an extraordinary young woman makes a powerful declaration of commitment to her mother in-law and to the God of Israel. Ruth’s husband, brother-in-law and father-in-law had died leaving Ruth, Orpah and Naomi widows. All three women, devastated by their grief and loss had choices to make. Naomi’s advice to her two daughter in-laws is to return to their homeland. Orpah agrees with her mother in-law and returns home but Ruth refused Naomi’s advice and wisely choses to stay to seek refuge in the God of Israel. Her announcement declares that she was turning her back on her old nature, renouncing Moab’s unreligious ways to continue to stay loyal to Naomi, her people and to her God, the God of Israel. Through Ruth’s declaration, God’s plan of salvation unfolds and provides us with a beautiful picture of the importance of commitment, being loyal and faithful to God and to one another.

‘ 'Where you die, I will die, And there will I be buried." There is more than symbolism; there is reality in this. Even with her young husband dead and the chance to go home, Ruth is abandoning her past. She is fully clinging to this new family of Naomi and saying, "I will be buried with your family. I 'm giving up on Moab. I 'm giving up on my own father (who the scriptures indicate were still alive.) I 'm giving up on the old world, the old ways. Life hasn 't been fair, but I 'm going to step out with you. I 'm going to step out on faith." Ruth’s journey through life from here was graced by the hand of God because her commitment was based on the value of loyalty, the love of God and the people He had put in her life. Ruth, through difficult circumstances in her life had determined in her heart that she would not be moved by a...

Conclusion
We can draw on the testimonies of people in the bible such as Ruth and the Apostle Paul who from their commitment to God we can see the amazing way in which God worked in and through their lives. ‘When God steps in, the ordinary events of life take on extraordinary significance.’ It does not matter where you have come from, God has a plan and a purpose for you and He can do great wonders if you are willing to be loyal and committed to Him. I have an obligation to share my faith in God to help those who are in great need for Gods direction in life, for His thoughts for our lives are higher than our thoughts. His ways are much brighter and brings meaning, gives light to our paths when we make a solid declaration of commitment to Him.

No one may have understood Ruth’s actions and her motives for doing what she did, but Ruth knew what she was getting herself into. She wanted a better life for herself and her twelve children, which she accomplished. Although many may not agree with her process of achieving her goals, she still managed to raise twelve successful men and women. Through all the miseries and tragedies, Ruth picked herself up and moved on. I am proud of her.

She connects stories of different multicultural relationships between a man and a woman, and then continues on to compare the women and men from each story to each other. Social class is also mentioned in the story of Ruth and Boaz. Boaz was very wealthy and Ruth was found in his fields taking food for Naomi and herself. Ruth has an intriguing personality. She is very loving towards her family. She will do all in her power to improve the lifestyle of her family. When it appears that the deal for the house in Clybourne Park will fall through, she promises to dedicate all of her time to make the investment work. “Lena-I’ll work… I’ll work 20 hours a day in all the kitchens in Chicago…I’ll strap my baby on my back if I have to and scrub all the floors and wash all the sheets in America if I have to-but we have to MOVE!” she pleads to her mother-in-law (Hansberry140). Her plan is unrealistic and idealistic, but the well being of her family is more important to her than anything. Ruth is also witty and sarcastic at times. She cracks jokes to lighten the mood of her family when they’re worried. “Well that’s the way the cracker crumbles. Joke. The book of Esther tells the faithfulness of one woman and her uncle. It is only one of two books that contain the heroism and bravery of a woman heroine. The story of Esther accomplishes two profound things, the first: “To demonstrate God’s providential care of his people, even those outside the land of Israel, and 2) to commend the observance of the feast of Purim by relating how it originated” (Breneman 289).Unlike the rest of the Bible the story of Esther does not directly state or talk about God, but instead shows God’s plans for all of our lives and how in all frightening moments of life, He remains faithful to those who trust and have faith in Him. “In spite of the omission of any name for deity, there is no other book in all the bible where God is more evident, working behind the scenes, than in this book” (Willmington 200). In order to understand who Esther was as a woman and her significance in the history of the Jews, we must first examine the circumstances and other individuals that impacted the events leading up to and after Esther became queen.

Moses, the man upon whom God built the nation of Israel, brought his people out of the land of Egypt. By God’s power, he divided the waters of the Red Sea. By God’s power, summoned manna in the wilderness. By God’s power, he led the Israelites despite their obstinate attitudes. He is a greatly respected patriarch of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam alike. But, imagine his legacy to be non-existent. Imagine that he died under the will of the God who sent him. Exodus 4:24-26 is brief story that nearly describes such a scenario. This exegetical study will partake in an attempt to better understand Exodus 4:24-26 through examining its historical and literary context and looking into the scholarly opinions about the topic. The proposal this paper will make is that God is in control of everything. Though He had just called Moses to rescue the nation of Israel, He shows Moses and family his complete sovereignty.
In the Christian religion, like many others, the belief in a single, ultimate, powerful being is upheld and practiced. However, unlike other monotheistic religions, the Christian belief in God is expressed in three parts: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This aspect of Christianity is very unique and is part of what defines it. Although some people may think so, God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are not three separate beings. They are united as one in the Trinity, the same all-powerful God. God is the creator of all and the reason for our salvation as humans. “On the Incarnation” by St. Athanasius is a book explaining the Trinity and the process by which our Savior, Jesus Christ the Son, was revealed to us and how he redeemed us.
However inconsistent or consistent every individual’s worldview is, we all have the zeal for one strongly held desire or another that keeps driving us in the midst of daily challenges, and keeps pushing us to do better in achieving this singular desire. One thing I am strongly passionate about is helping people in every way I can so that in the end God can be glorified.
There are many religious groups throughout the world and the three largest religious groups are Christianity, Islam, and Nonreligious people who claim no religion at all. Under these three religions are other religions that basically having the same belief, but their belief may differ slightly. They all worship God, but in their own way, each having their own belief of salvation of how man is saved.
Christianity is a faith based on the life, teachings, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. (Fisher, 1991) Christianity is a one God religion as presented in the New Testament. Today, Christianity and the church are culturally diverse, even in the aspects of race. It is even said that Sunday mornings is the most segregated time in the world. There is one central belief that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, all Christians can come to this conclusion. Christianity teaches that Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins and that we are all under the judgment of God because we have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Other religions may often depict that it is only necessary to do some good when it comes to God in order to get into heaven. However, Christianity is the only religion that supports the teachings of salvation by grace. Meaning that our efforts, sincerity, and good works alone will not guarantee us a place in heaven, but instead it is our faith in what Christ did on the cross along with obeying the gospel, and living faithfully until his return that will place us there. Followers of Jesus Christ were persecuted, but by 380 CE, despite strong opposition, Christianity became the official religion of the vast Roman Empire (Fisher, 1991) At least three things can derive from Christianity; a set of beliefs, the way of life and a community of people. Christ is the Greek form of the Hebrew word "Messiah", meaning "anointed one". Christianity originally developed as a part of Judaism. Jesus was a Jew. It is said that he lived from about 3 BC to 30 AD. He lived and taught in Palestine, to the Jews. Christianity also teaches that God created the universe and all that is in it. While we as humans have both physi...
