The two articles, As the World Burns and Why Bother, both discuss the challenges of what individuals faced with trying to help stop global warming. In Why Bother, the author explains why one individual would not want to bother changing the climate change, if the entire universe is not going to change as well. However, in As the World Burns, one of the little girls is trying to persuade her friend to go greenhouse friendly but the friend doesn’t by any of what her friend is trying to tell her. The non- environmental friend breaks it down to her “tree lover” friend that if everyone in the United States did everything on the global warming list, that there would still be a global warming issue in the world. Both articles argue that there is a crisis with global warming; however they can’t fix the problem if everyone doesn’t help to fix it. I won’t be losing any sleep over it”; and Alan Zarembo, staff writer for the the Los Angeles Times, in “Game over on global warming?” All though the articles explain some different topics from one another, only one of them disagree with gore on the causes for global warming being humans, they all agree that there will be impacts to the environment, and all of them believe that greenhouse gases are one of the primary causes for global warming.

The four climate security discourses will answer the following questions: Whose security is at stake? Who is able to respond to the threat? How is the threat defined? What are suggestions to deal with the threat? The article is delineated into four different phases. First, the evolution of engagement with climate change security relationships. Second, the methodologies of discourses analysis are outlined. Third, which is also the most important part of the article; the four climate security discourses with different conceptions are discussed. Finally, climate change and security correlation will be explained and the politics of responses to climate change. Climate change is dubious of being responsible for certain events that put entities at risk. Entities that could be at risk are long-term human security and nation-state’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. Climate change can cause humans to be at risk with more “vector- borne diseases, sea level rise on low lying land, changing patterns of rain, and extreme weather phenomena’s (IPCC, 2007)”.
