It implements policies related to a more efficient use of existing resources. For example, in New Orleans, Airbnb worked with local government to put rules in place that promote home sharing and the economic benefits of travel (Airbnb Policy Tool Chest 2.0). It also joined forces with the Caribbean Tourism Organization to promote the local history and culture and to diversify local tourism industry in order to benefit the residents economically (Airbnb Policy Tool Chest 2.0).
Moreover, Airbnb integrates sustainable practices into their platform. For example, Airbnb joined the World Tourism Organization’s International Year of Sustainable Tourism for Development campaign to help make travel greener worldwide (“Airbnb partners with the UNWTO to promote sustainable tourism”). It has partnerships with solar-panel and smart-home tech companies to give their hosts reward for adopting energy-saving tools.
In addition, Airbnb helps hosts prepare guests for local environmental challenges such as droughts (“Airbnb partners with the UNWTO to promote sustainable tourism”). When an area is experiencing drought, Airbnb will provide educational support to hosts to help them reduce water consumption for the property.

Repressed vs. false memories has been a critical debate in criminal cases and daily life problems. Throughout the years many people has claimed to recover repressed memories with the simplest triggers varying from a gaze to hypnosis. However, a large number of repressed memories claimed are considered as false memories because the images were induced through hypnosis and recalled during a therapy sesion. In the film “divided memories” the main intention was to inform the audience the importance of repressed memories and how those memories can change the lives of the people involved, whether the memory was considered repressed or false. It shows different cases of women being victims of sexual abuse in childhood and how they had those memories repressed. Additionally, the film
Walt Disney World is trademarked for being the “Happiest Place on Earth”, and attracts millions of people each year from all around the world. With 10,000 guests an hour visiting Walt Disney World, parks reach their carrying capacity of 100,000, within the 43 square miles of Disney property, almost all of the days that it is open year round (“Walt Disney World”). With this much land and this number of people coming and going from the property each day, one may be to believe that The Walt Disney Company has their eye on one thing and one thing only - Money. Although this may seem to be a reasonable assumption, Walt Disney World, along with the entire Walt Disney Company, is paving the way to a sustainable company in new environmentally friendly
This controversy is one of the reasons that share culture is so fascinating. Where is the balance between the benefit to the consumer and the loss of business to companies such as taxicabs, whose customers are being pulled toward other alternatives like Uber and Lyft? The pros and cons have been hotly debated, and even the legality of the sharing culture is in question. Airbnb home-owners are not subject to the room taxes hotels pay, which are a major source of revenue for cities like Los Angeles. Lyft and Uber were even issued a cease and desist order until their legality and licensing were established.
Each year, America’s travel and tourism industry generates approximately $1.5 trillion dollars in economic output, or about 2.6% of the country’s gross domestic product (Select USA, 2016). Nearly 20% of this economic activity is directly related to accommodations, which serve the short term lodging needs of pleasure and business travelers. Unlike other American economic sectors, this lodging industry is a highly fragmented, diversified market with an incredible variety of suppliers. Temporary overnight lodging can range from undeveloped campsites, hostels, and capsule hotels all the way up to mansions and incredibly luxurious five store hotels. Price ranges run the gamut from just a few dollars a night to thousands of

This paper will discuss the five environmental factors that influence global and domestic marketing decisions that organizations must make. These five environmental factors are technology, demographics, government, culture and economics. Companies are affected differently by these factors depending on the industry they are in and the size of the organization. I will be using the Washington Plaza Hotel to illustrate how these environmental factors affect the hotel industry's marketing decisions. The Washington Plaza Hotel is a hospitality business located in Washington, DC. They offer services such as lodging, restaurant, bar, catering and meeting space rental. The Washington Plaza Hotel's major customer base is government, tourist, non-profit organizations, local businesses and some corporate clientele. Let's now take a look at how these environmental factors affect the marketing of the hotel.
The primary goal of The Walt Disney Company is to become one of the world’s leading producers and providers of not only entertainment, but also information (The Walt Disney Company, 2014). The company aims to achieve this by utilizing its immense brand portfolio so as to differentiate services, content, and consumer products. While this is the overall goal, there exist other innate milestones that essentially touch on socially responsible business in enhancing sustainability. They include, but are not limited to; zero net greenhouse gas emissions, whereby the company aims to have reduced net greenhouse gas emissions by 50% by 2020; zero waste, whereby Walt Disney hopes to achieve a 60% reduction in waste from
Since a large pull factor for tourist to Morocco is the great diversity of Nature the location has, environmental sustainability is crucial to tourism sustainability. The people and cities of Morocco treat their surroundings with care. The city of Ifran in Morocco landed at #2 in “The 12 Cleanest Cities in the World”, a ranking recently published by International Headline website MBC Times. A big reason for this is that there is no industry in this city, making the air quality superior to others. National Parks are very popular in the area, having many lakes, streams, waterfalls, and a large maple tree forest (MBC Times).
bnb is core value is to be a host. The concept is or Airbnb is brilliant because it lets travelers experience the world through the people (the host). I have travelled independently and lived in hotels that an amazing experience, but when I used Airbnb my experience flourish to be being outstanding. It allowed me to learn the city through their people, meeting new people that turn into friends and it felt good to come home instead of feeling lonely when you return to a hotel room. I am absolutely love travelling, meeting new people, trying new food and learning something new everyday. My ultimate goal for me is to make a difference for a people and Airbnb is making difference. I am currently completing education HBA in a combined specialization

It is the economic effects of tourism which bring the most benefit to the host nation. Tourism is a low import user which means more of the money earned here stays here. The government is earning money through tourist taxes such as the airport tax, increased export earnings and income tax revenue from people employed by the industry. A balance must be struck between these benefits and associated negative impacts on the community and the environment.
Air lite, for example, represents an eco-friendly technology advance by purifying the air around working like leaves on the trees, eliminating bacteria, mold, and functioning as a filter that eliminates toxic substances. It also reduces the energy consumption in about a 15-50% as it reflects the hot component of sunlight, avoiding that rooms overheat (EASME, 2017).
This company provides accommodation facilities with hospitality for people who come from other areas but this is not a hotel service. This is called first unhotel hospitality product which enable guest to live like locally by experiencing luxury facilities. This concept has gone beyond the hotel service and it is called as vacation home. This great business concept was created in 2009 on the mind of Grey Marsh who is the CEO of this company.
