Champagne's POV
I woke up from something tickling my ears. I felt something hard on my back and an arms around my waist. I suddenly felt alarmed and screamed my heart out. "Aaarrggggghhhhh!!!!"
Xavier woke up abruptly and ready to fight when he saw me screaming like a maniac. My scream died and replaced by anger. "What are you doing here?!" I asked him angrily and covered my almost naked body by the quilt.
He sighed in relief and brushed his face off. "Last night I heard you crying and I went to your room. You asked me to stay with you and don't ever leave you." He explained with a hurt expression. "I--I--okay. Fine." I said bowing my head, feeling sorry. He looked so tired and sleep defrived. Last night I waited for him until midnight but he's still not arrived and sleep claimed my tired body and didn't know what time he arrived. …show more content…

Luckily, no one is hurt. Someone is sabotaging his company. I hope everything is alright now. I know his company is his first priority. And I felt something pocking my heart.
"How is everything?" I asked without looking at him while playing with my fingers in my lap.
"My men is still working with what happened with the help of the authorities. I just need to gave a statement then head home." He said coming back to bed and leaned on the headboard. I want to hug him to me. I know how precious his company to him.
"But are you not needed there anymore? Why are you here?" I asked awkwardly.
"My staff can manage without me. It's you that I am worried about." He said while caressing my hair. "But I can manage alone here. You need to be there. They need you there. That's your company we are talking about. Your first priority." I said matter of factly. I felt his hand stopped from caressing my hair. I heard him sigh and stood up from the bed and went to the glass window and looked outside with his arms on his both sides
