Because this is a novel excerpt, I was in trouble figuring out what was happening in some moments. The beginning fascinated me when I found the hero is a killer. He was thrown a big trouble of this targeted girl. The previous failure task strengthened the trouble. I really wanted to know why he decided to help the girl, because the end of the mission scene is just he wanted to have a mix of business and pleasure. It is interesting that Alistair is a gambler and killer at the same time. He also gets drunk always, which doesn’t seem to be a quality killer should have. This could have very good explanations and development in the plot. I like it when the last mission is to kill his father. It was a little surprise.
This book has great balances of love interests, actions, and internal conflict with characters. It has an interesting story so far with new pieces coming up every few chapters that are very important. Like Al attacking Tris, Eric talking about Divergents and how the rebels must be eliminated. Tris and Four are developing feelings for each other, which I find weird because he is basically her teacher. They are only two years apart, so the relationship is not that awkward. In this journal I will be predicting, evaluating, and questioning.
It has been too long since I last wrote to you, so I thought I would inform you on momentous events that happened in my life in the last little while. The previous time I heard from you was when Gabriel turned three. I can’t believe he is about to become a teenager now. My goodness, time flies by so fast. I was so ecstatic when I saw your prior letter arrive in my mail.
There are much more important ideas about your life and how or what you do. One of the key is do not be involved with a bad situation. Do not judge people of how they look. There could be people who looks dirty but is not mean and others that wears nice clothes but is rude like an example from sentence 3. In the book The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton, people judge the greasers being mean because of how they look but are not that mean and the Socs of how people believe they are amazing people because of how they look but get into trouble. Nothing will change if you want to change it or not and that is one of the most important theme because people wants to make the difference.
All throughout the story there was unexpected twists that added even more suspense to the story. It was sad at the end when the Republican sniper, Dublin had killed his brother unknowingly but overall it was a very surprising and enjoyable read. When I put myself in the protagonist’s situation when Dublins is put in danger and has to kill the enemy, I would have probably just decided to try to shoot the antagonist but not kill him because after all it was his brother that Dublin has killed. I also think that when he had tricked his enemy into thinking he was dead then he should have gotten to safety while he was still able to. Also if I was in his situation I would never have lit the cigarette because he knew that it would lead the enemy to his location, he also knew that it was a large and dangerous
This book is written by author GARY D. SCHMIDT. That one would be one of the greatest book I have ever read. It tells us about Doug Swieteck who is a main character, his family, and the environment around him. There are some very funny and light parts in that. On the other hand, there are also some very sad and serious parts like tragedy. But I choose first one of two choices that I would call Okay for now a hopeful book. Because there is some reason to call the book a hopeful one more than would call a hopeless one in the book. I am going to give you some example of light and funny parts.
Fight Club is a novel written by Chuck Palahniuk. This is a story about a protagonist who struggles with insomnia. An anonymous character suffering from recurring insomnia due to the stress brought about by his job is introduced to the reader. He visits a doctor who later sends him to visit a support group for testicular cancer victims, and this helps him in alleviating his insomnia. However, his insomnia returns after he meets Marla Singer. Later on, the narrator meets Tyler Durden, and they together establish a fight club. They continue fighting until they attract crowds of people interested in the fight club. Fight club is a story that shows the struggles between the upper class and lower class people. The upper class people here undermine the working class people by considering them as cockroaches. In addition, Palahniuk explores the theme of destruction throughout the book whereby the characters destroy their lives, body, building and the history of their town.
The tone is mainly dramatic and sometimes feels surreal. The actionable goal of the protagonist Ben is to escape and survive. The stakes are high. The storytelling is very unpredictable. There are themes about forgiveness.
The book The Maze Runner Scorch Trials shows the idea of hope because Thomas and His

Life presents a wide array of obstacles as well as opportunities, and it is important to be prepared to take on whatever it is that life has to offer. In his Harvard Commencement Address, Will Ferrell reinforces this idea into the 2003 graduating class of the prestigious Harvard University as they prepare to move on to do greater things. His comedic approach is successful due to his ability to evoke feelings of laughter from his audience while also making them realize that they are entering a new stage of life. Although Ferrell is speaking directly to the class of 2003, anyone who listens to or who views his speech will experience humor in an otherwise serious event, and they will reflect on their own life or envision their future. Through
They ran and ran and ran, fueled by the belief that death was trailing them in the form of a star falling from the sky. It was then that they encountered Beary Teary.
Philosophy can be found everywhere. Like math, it is used to solve problems, or at least used to begin to understand those problems. Most individuals expect to heighten their philosophical knowledge through readings or by reading a professors notes. One may even consult their own mind to help them grasp a concept of a philosophy. Attainting philosophical guidance by the sources above is common yet it is also quite common to see philosophical themes in movies and novels. A movie with a philosophical message is “Fight Club”. The movie “Fight Club” examines an idealistic question known as “What is Real?” though the main character. The movie examines three idealistic statements: One cannot trust appearances to determine what is real, one sees and feels only what their subconscious mind allows them to see and feel, and finally, ones mind determines what is personally real.

1. Jordan and Donnie both take a bottle of Lemmons - a very strong form of Quaaludes - which has been sitting for fifteen years. Like excited children who are about to smoke marijuana for the first time, Jordan and Donnie meet up to have fun as Donnie cautions that they only need to take one because of the powerful effect of those drugs. After 30 minutes of waiting and not feeling the effects from the drugs Jordan and Donnie take another dose of Quaaludes; and as even more time passed by they took another dose each. At the same moment, Jordan’s lawyer calls and asks Jordan to find a secure phone booth because the FBI taped Jordan’s house communication. When Jordan arrives at the phone booth he is unable to speak and barely able to crawl. This is when he realizes the Lemmons reacted like a delayed fuse and all
Razack does a tremendous job in this script of painting a picture of a concept that brings the reader directly into the project and how she wants it to be visualized. Included in her action descriptions are the camera angles that bring this war to life, along with the hectic situations that the characters get involved. As a result, the character and dialogue come together to combine cultural dialogue with fiery, charismatic Irish characters one would envision in a storyline of this magnitude. Niall’s ascension from son to man of the house to the in the wake of his father’s death, shows the audience what an oppressed Catholic man in these times of war looked. Where his mother used to have authority over him, when he asked her to be silent during
