I love psychology because it means the scientific study of the human mind and its functions especially those affecting behavior in a given content. The idea of understanding the mental process of what goes on in a person’s mind is exciting, especially when they do something out of the ordinary. Emily Dickinson (1830-1886) quoted stated: “The brain is wider than the sky.” We plan to discuss how behaviorism, cognitivism, constructivism, and humanism all come together with psychology and understand how amazing the mind works to operate the decisions we make, controlling our body functions, and finally how we learn.
In order for a company to succeed they must have the executives, supervisors, secretaries, and finally the employees. But in the beginning there must be some training. We will discuss the basics of a prosperous (word choice?) way to teach each new employee about the company that they are applying for in addition to making sure that once they leave there are informed and that there are no unanswered questions. Finally they will understand that if they come aboard to this company what a value they can add and that there is an open-door policy so that they can feel comfortable in their workplace.
Behaviorism- The view that psychology should focus on visible behavior rather that the mental state. 6. After each section is completed each employee will be allowed time to ask me questions if there is an area that they did not understand or for some reason missed.
7. Finally at the end of the training the class will have a chance to ask questions about the company in addition to meeting with me one on one to discuss some skill that they can be of help to make the company successful.
In conclusion, each of these strategies will be used to not only assist the company but to better inform those perspective employees, once they finish with this learning module they will better understand how the company works, but they will also know that if they become an employee that they will be respected, informed, all supervisor will have an open-door policy if a problem arises and that their skill will be a value to everyone involved and comfortable in their workplace.

Psychology comprises of two words originally used by the ‘Greeks’, ‘psyche’, defining the mind, soul or spirit and lastly ‘logos’ being study. Both words define together the ‘study of the mind’. Psychology perspectives evaluate the normal and abnormal behaviour and how persons’ deal with different concepts of issues and problems. Psychology theories’ are based on ‘common sense’, but its scientific structure, everything needs to be evaluated and tested, therefore, promoting different psychological theories’.
I sense that there is an importance to learn the various aspects of our minds and how it works to navigate through our information rich environment and to embrace the similarities and differences that we have. I personally hope that psychology will help me understand my place in this world and how, with the knowledge I have acquired to the study of psychology, help make the world an easier place to live in. There has been too many a time where we humans have made uneducated decisions that affected the lives of other people and regret to tell the tale. In 1913 a new movement in psychology appeared, Behaviorism. “Introduced by John Broadus Watson when he published the classic article Psychology as the behaviorist views it.” Consequently, Behaviorism (also called the behaviorist approach) was the primary paradigm in psychology between 1920 to 1950 and is based on a number of underlying ‘rules’: Psychology should be seen as a science; Behaviorism is primarily concerned with observable behavior, as opposed to internal events, like thinking and emotion; People have no free will – a person’s environment determines their behavior; Behavior is the result of stimulus resulting in a response; and All behavior is learned from the environment. Behaviorism, or learning theory is one of three “grand theories” of human development. The focus of behaviorism is observable behavior, with no reference to mental processes. As a learning theory behaviorism, assumes that learning occurs via interactions with the environment, through the process of conditioning.

The purpose of this learning theory is using conditioning in order to acquire a desired behavior. Once understood, the use of behaviorism can be an effective tool in the classroom for educators to use.
Introspection and behaviorism used to be two very popular styles of research. Introspection is the process of observing one's own mental, or emotional processes. Whereas behaviorism is the theory that both human and animal behavior can be changed by conditioning. These styles created a new way for researchers to expand their theories. While this style of research was prominent for several years, the psychology community soon began to realize that they both had certain limitations.
Behavioral perspective is the theory that the majority of all behavior is learned from the environment after birth. Freewill is considered to be an illusion, because our environment determines behavior. Behaviorists believe that only behavior should be observed, not our minds, since we cannot see into other people’s minds. There is no way to know if a person is honestly answering a question so it is irrelevant. Behaviorists use strict laboratory experiments, usually on animals, such as rats or pigeons. They test animals because the laws of learning are universal, there are only a quantitative difference between animals and humans, and animals are practically and ethically more convenient to test.

Behaviourism is where a person learns through responding to stimuli so as to optimise their own situation. There are two types of conditioning, classical and operant, each of which yield a different behavioral pattern.
There are three types of behaviorism. The first, methodological is a normative theory about the scientific conduct of psychology. It claims that psychology should concern itself with the behavior of organisms and not with mental states or events or with constructing internal information processing accounts of behavior. ("Behaviorism," 2000) The second is psychological behaviorism. It explains human and animal behavior in terms of external physical stimuli, responses, learning histories and reinforcements. The last type is analytical or logical behaviorism. This theory has a philosophy about the meaning of mental terms and concepts. The idea of the mental state is the idea of behavioral tendencies that shows how a person behaves in one situation compared to another.
This class helped me to become more aware of my weaknesses. I recommend this module to all students. The resources helped me to understand how I could become more effective and to realize my own strengths and weaknesses regarding my skills and working in a group environment. I found the Business Ethics principles an inspiring module. I think everyone should learn these principles.
