Businesses today are becoming progressively diverse in respect to workers and their leaders. As the world advances, the generation of leaders is also changing. New developments and breakthroughs in technology are evolving daily. These elements have potential influence on the generation of the 21st century leaders.
The manner in which today’s children are being raised and educated will affect the outcome of tomorrow’s leaders. Many of our children are learning technologies at an earlier age. We have many luxuries that were rarely available several decades ago. Our parents never used the internet and very seldom would watch television. Today our lives and the companies around us are influenced by these components that shape our lives.
More frequently, businesses are gaining confidence in younger leaders. This may be a result of the younger generation growing up with the technology around them. This generation can easily research a specific item that has been requested of them. For instance, performing a simple Google search can give answers to millions of questions. A young leader can use the technology to their advantage in the ability to provide answers to others.
However, technology may also have an impact on the communication aspect of a great leader. Older generations prefer to use direct communication such as face-to-face or speaking over the telephone. Today, younger generations may expect to use more email, texts, and other communications via technology. A leader may want to request an action item or deliverable from their employees, but sends out an email to request the information. This could be problematic if the email does not encompass specifics.

...ng phase. This is normally the easiest part for me. I went from top to bottom. I inserted the cover page, deleted the assignment piece and tailored my paper to fit the requirements of CSU Global. I run my paper through the suggested programs and make changes if necessary.
Once I feel comfortable submitting my assignment, off it goes. On several occasions, I have felt a lack of confidence in sending my paper. There are times when I think of things I could have added or written differently after. Overall, I know I have learned a lot from writing these papers and doing all the research that comes with it. I have a lot to learn on writing papers, but that will become easier the more I write. I will learn what little changes I can change to make writing easier for me.

If we take the time to understand and embrace the energy and talent of this influential generation charged with leading us through uncharted and turbulent waters of the 21st century by researching what kind of leadership they aspire to and connect with and whether a different leadership model - crafted from Gestalt methodologies - might better resonate , we may be in a better position to inform the path forward as OD professionals in designing and delivering relevant tools for dealing with the business turbulence of today by being attune to the needs of these future leaders of tomorrow.
Leadership is a communication process of a leader and individuals in which the leaders behavior or attitude directs individuals towards any goal effectively. It is widely believed that leadership creates the vital link between organizational effectiveness and people’s performance at an organizational level (Avolio, 1999; McGrath and MacMillan, 2000). The effectiveness of an organization depends upon the leader having an effective leadership style in order to effectively reach the goal of the organization; with it being one of the key driving forces for improving a firm’s performance. Scholars suggest that effective leadership behaviors can facilitate the improvement of performance when organizations face problems (McGrath and MacMillan, 2000). To effectively achieve leadership of individuals and organizational outcomes, four theories can be used; Fiedler’s Contingency Model, Hersey and Blanchard’s Situational Leadership Model, Vroom & Yetton Participative Leadership Model, and House & Dessler Path-Goal Theory.
This paper employs multiple research techniques and sources to give a holistic analyst of the partnerships developed with people from different division of a healthcare organization. I identify problems from my personal experience as an Ophthalmic Technician and System Analyst for the Department of Ophthalmology at The Ohio State University Medical Center. As this semester is coming to an end I have written a lot of papers for Mrs. Nance. Some of them were very tough and others were a little bit easier for me whatever they were I got through them all even though some nights I did not think I would. The papers that were hard for me were a lot of the bigger papers and they were not hard just because they were long. On some assignments I could keep writing for days. It was the revising that was hard for me and especially in my Costa Rica memoir. I do not think I have ever worked that hard on a paper before, and in the end it was all worth it because I got a very good grade on it. Leaders of the future will be faced with many challenges. As the world changes, we must adapt the ways in which we face these challenges, and in turn grow as leaders. A leader is not merely someone which commands a group or organization. A good leader exhibits the ability to take an average team of individuals and achieve greatness. Leadership is not supervision or leading. It is the ability to inspire or influence others towards the end goal.
