Going to different places to increase our knowledge, open our minds, extend new moral values, enjoy the different culture atmosphere, and so forth. There are many destinations throughout the world that will fulfill those desires. But, if what you are looking for is a unique and memorable experience that will give you the opportunity to learn about another culture through art, cultural events, historical sites, and archeological treasures, a place to visit is certainly Italy. Among many places in the world where you can relive the past, Italy is certainly the most charming place. Italy capital is Rome located near Southern Europe in the Central Mediterranean Sea, Northeast of Tunisia. As of July 2003 Italy population is 57,998,353 (Italy, 2006). Italy consists of a mountainous peninsula in southern Europe extending into the Mediterranean Sea and includes the islands of Sicily, Sardinia, and about 70 other smaller islands. The Alps form Italy's border with France, Switzerland, Austria, and Slovenia. Most of Italy has warm, dry summers and mild winters, with northern Italy experiencing colder and wet winters (Italy, 1996). It is also divided into 20 regions, known as the fourth largest tourism, and fifth most visited country with many mountains. Italy also has a symbolic flag that was adopted January 1, 1948. The Italian flag has three vertical bands of colors and each one has a meaning. The meanings of the three colors of the flag of Italy are that green represents the country's plains and the hills, white, the Alps Mountains covered in snow and red represents blood spilt in the Wars of Italian Independence (Italy Flag, 2014). I think that if I could visit Italy I will be able to compare and contrast Italy to life in America. For example, Italy is a total combination of beauty, culture and landscapes, rough economic and political background. America also advertises beauty and appearance. Over all Italy seems like an exciting place to explore because it has so many attractions to offer. Maybe one day I will have the opportunity to take a trip to Italy just to see such amazing place.

The majority of people live in Italy are Roman Catholics, but there are other people of religions live there too such as Hindus, Muslims, Buddhist, and Protestant Italians. Italians are described as a hard worker, self-sacrificing ready to work for a better future for themselves and their families and also educated thinkers. When the Italian migration began numerous people came to the U.S. and its neighboring country Canada. Today in Canada there are over 1.45 million Italians, including well-known artists and actors.
Another view of the American flag is the colors red, white, and blue. Some Americans see the color red as blood for all the blood shed on the battlegrounds. Another color white for victory or triumph in our great nation of America. Lastly, the color blue for the sadness or sorrow felt because of the lives lost in war.
Interesting history, variety of foods to eat, and the spirit of celebrations are among the reason why I think Mexico City is a beautiful place, and a place I recommend you should visit.
The colors of the Flag may be thus explained: The red is for valor, zeal and fervency; the white for hope purity, cleanliness of life, and rectitude of conduct; the blue, the color of heaven, for reverence to God, loyalty, sincerity, justice and truth.
On our American flag, the white signifies purity and innocence. The red color means hardiness and bravery. Blue expresses courage, vigilance (alertness), perseverance (never giving up), and justice.
The first few questions that must be answered in order to understand the Italian culture entirely is who they are, where they are located, how they live their everyday lives, and how they are considered their own culture. With each of these questions answered it will be easier to fully understand this type of community.
It is quite common sense to everyone that the food and service in Europe, particularly Italy, are different, but do they know how big the contrast is? In America, we think of the classic Italian dish to be spaghetti and meatballs, when in fact, that dish does not even exist in Italy. The food, dining, and coffee are all something the Italians do differently, but in my opinion better.
I would first like to cover religion. Like most places there are a wide variety of different religions, but in the Italian culture most people are raised to be catholic. The topic that I will be discussing is Thai culture. In this, it will include areas that influence this culture. First, I will give you the geographical information of the country of Thailand. The second area that I will look at will be language. Language is an extremely important part of culture and some say that one cannot be found without the other. After that I will inform you about customs, traditions and taboos in Thai culture. This is a very important part of culture and is what shows the differences between cultures. Then I briefly tell you about the government and some national symbols, such as the flag, the symbol, colors, anthem, dress, and national day. Next, I will explain about religion in Thailand. In most cultures there is religion, but in Thailand it is interwoven into its whole culture and it is hard to separate the two. One other thing that I will include in this paper is a link to a page with pictures from my trip to Thailand.
