Personalities differ with one person to another. Dealing with other people according to their personality will make the team stronger. Knowing personality type can help me to understand myself better and to improve on my weaknesses.
Personality defines individuals’ inner characters and who they are as a person. Their behavior patterns are consistent around other people as well by themselves. Even though people hide their true personality in social settings, eventually their inner nature comes out.
Personality features define who I am. One of my strong personality traits that I have is friendliness. Even though other people are unfriendly and unwelcome toward me, I show kindness to them. A popular saying, “Treat others as you would like to be treated,” fits this type of trait and that is how I want to live by. Another personality feature I am strong in is giving. Giving resources like time and money give me self-satisfaction. Knowing I played a part in someone’s life is fulfilling. Volunteering my time at Relay for Life, sponsored by American Cancer Society, was a fun experience. The event was from sunset to sunrise. The darkness represented the cancer. Throughout the night, I was walking around the track. Sunrise represented a new hope and winning the battle against cancer.
I have some negative sides to my personality. I like to give but sometimes I give too much. For example, I have a Project due the next day and my friend asks if I could help her turn on her phone. Activating a phone can wait another day but in her mind it is a matter of life and death. So I tend to give in to what other people want instead of doing what I need to be doing. As far a time and money go, I am still learning how to manage time and money.

...and what I need to improve on. After completing the question, it has a graph in which I would put my results. More of a square shape it is, more balanced I am. However, the resulting number does not show the whole story of my personality.
Many of the personality tests improve by asking the right question. In one of the test I took before, it asks a childhood question. People change and I changed ever since my childhood. My personality changed over time from preschool to elementary school to middle school to high school and through college. Instead of asking a childhood question, the test should ask current situation and activities. That way, it can apply to all stages of life.
Knowing my personality helps me to understand who I am as a person. Working together in team at school or at work will be smoother because I know my teams and my strengths and weaknesses.
As previously mentioned, personality is a concept that primarily focuses on examining the patterns of similarities and patterns of differences among individuals. The view of personality examines individuals comprehensively to look for common dimensions of personal traits in order to make generalizations and comparisons. There are two major approaches used in making these overview and comparisons regarding individual differences i.e. nomothetic and idiographic approaches.
Personality is useful to distinguish one person from another as everyone possesses different personality. Many personality type theories have been evolved from the time immemorial and great psychologists and philosophers of the world discussed personality in their own understanding and research.
Three aspects of my personality are avoidant, high on conscientiousness and a high need for achievement. These personality characteristics were studied using different theories, the attachment theory, Big Five, and the motivational theory. Together, these aspects make me who I am. I am someone who is driven, hard working, disciplined, and has a hard time trusting and letting other people into my personal life. Everyone has their different personality traits which make them unique, and that’s the beauty of humans. No one is exactly like anyone
People have studied personalities for thousands of years. Personality assessments have existed for the past 100 years. There are several different tests available to help you understand yourself and others better. Once this is achieved, the idea is to foster better communication based upon the knowledge of the traits of your team.
These types of personality assessments are useful because they can help us see how each of us are different and how we each fit into our roles and responsibilities. Life would not be nearly as functional if we were all the same, and personality assessments can be useful by showing us how we all can work together and see our strengths and weaknesses in a way that can help us improve them.
The trait I believe I reflect most is caring. I am always available when my friends, or even strangers, need help. I hope that I am a good person for someone to talk to as I am open-minded enough to never judge someone for their misfortunes or wrong doings. This brings me to the other trait I relate to most, which is open-minded. I believe that I am able to understand most people’s point of view in situations even if they seem to be in the wrong. Two other traits I relate to very much, however not as much as the aforementioned traits, are knowledgeable and risk-taker. I am knowledgeable not only in the sense that I am intelligent but also that I am on a journey of seeking higher knowledge and the secrets the world has to offer me. Knowledgeable can help me in my area of risk-taking by allowing me to not take risks that will produce a dangerous outcome. I am a risk-taker in my personal life more than my educational one because I find joy in new experiences and enjoy being adventurous and taking risks. The traits that I particularly relate to are balanced, a thinker, and reflective. I view myself as a thinker due to the immense amount of time I spend pondering the spiritual aspect of life. Although I would possibly describe myself as a thinker, I would have a harder time describing myself as reflective because I prefer to live in the now and not reflect back onto my sad past. Balanced is a trait that I see in myself but I also me failing at being balanced always. I tend to balance time between friends poorly, however not by intention. Also, I need to work on balancing my time spent on projects and assignments in school. The traits on the list I relate to the least are principled, inquirer, and communicator. Although I am principled, I find myself being more open to ideas and possibilities, that some people believe are wrong. I am not as stubborn as many principled people are, my opinion is
As individuals we all have something within us that sets us apart, and makes us unique, our personality. Maybe you’ve come across someone who isn’t the easiest to get along with, and someone utters, “Don’t take it personally; they were born with a bad personality.” While some believe personality is entirely dependent upon your parents, your friends, and merely the way you were born, people neglect the science behind the traits of personality. Personality is defined as an individual’s characteristic pattern of thinking, feeling, and acting. It is through personality that we are able to explore our innermost being and determine why we act and react to things the way we do, and what makes us make the decisions we choose.
Although some would argue that their results are nowhere near correct, I would say that mine were, for the most part, spot on. I did conjure up a few disagreements; however, a more detailed and longer test might be able to give me a more in depth and accurate rating of my personality. The conclusions of my test say that I am moderately open to experience, highly conscientious, moderately extraverted, and high in both agreeableness and
Personality is a branch of scientific discipline that studies temperament and its variation among people. It is a dynamic and a set of characteristics possessed by their atmosphere, cognitions, emotions, motivations and behaviours in various things. Personality conjointly refers to the pattern of thoughts, feelings, social adjustments and behaviour consistently exhibited over time that powerfully influences one’s exceptions, self-perceptions, values and attitudes. It also predicts human reactions to different folks, problems and stress.
Personality can affect many things in a person’s life. This includes how a person will react to a situation. One can attribute different personality traits to different dispositional or learning theories, such as linking the dehumanizing of a victim to social cognitive theory. One can make an association between interpersonal relational aspects and some of these theories. Personality is an aspect of the self that people often think about but most never truly contemplate the meaning or depth of personality.
What is personality? Are humans born with a personality or does it develop over time through personal experience? Each person has unique characteristic patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving that stay consistent over time and across situations. Over the years, psychologists have approached the study of personality in many ways. Some psychologists set out to understand how personality develops, while others set out to understand why there are differences in personality. Humans are complex beings, changing in different situations and with different people, which makes personality too complex to easily be described. However, psychologists focus on studying the internal and external aspects of a person’s character that influence
The two areas that best reflect my strong suits are respectful and inspiring. (Steadiness) Respect should not be taken lightly and people want others to show them that they are important. I am not the one to belittle, talk down to someone, embarrass the other person, or not acknowledge someone because they are not like me or do not hold a certain position. People respond in a negative manner and become very defensive when others treat them in any of the ways previously mention. I look at how I want others to consider when speaking and interacting with me. That is the way I have to try to handle myself when dealing with others. Taking calculated risks is what I do best because I cannot stand losing too much if the results do not outweigh the risks involved. I am also very critical on myself and can point out faults in a heartbeat. I have to analyze future actions before I act on anything because I do not want to go wrong or too far away from initial path. Repeating myself or actually running through multiple scenarios takes up a lot of time. Being overly critical on myself will eliminate some of that time that I cannot get back.
I am an intuitive-feeling personality. I am charismatic, participative and very people oriented. I tend to focus on the big picture and not the small specifics. I am not power hungry and try to be helpful and giving to those around me.
Over the course of an individual’s life there are many traits acquired which are things that contribute to the way he or she interacts with others, overall these traits help with the development of one’s personality. Character traits or qualities make up a person, whether it's their personality or attitude or the way they portray themselves to others. Every person individually possess traits and qualities that not only describe, but define them making every person different. Many of the admirable traits that I possess make me the man that I am today, contributing to my interactions with others and the career path I intend to pursue. Throughout my life, many events have revealed my true character traits which include determination, optimism, and faith.
Personality can affect all different aspects of one’s life. There are links connecting personality to academic and occupational success and social relationships. Health can even be affected by personality because immunity can be altered by personality traits like sociability, optimism, and carelessness. Personality determines the way social interactions occur and when social relationships are determined by how the interactions occur personality can really affect the way one builds social relationships. Just like social relationships, academic and occupational success are affected by personality traits like carelessness, mastery, and agreeableness.
