Bullying
My class has been talking about bullying and its effects on students and schools all around the world! My teacher handed out articles on bullying and informed us to get the awareness out. I read the articles and starting thinking on ways that we can change this horrible problem. Bullying can be changed but we have to spread awareness!
Like I said, I read two articles about bullying and picked up some very important information. First, I read “Tales of Bullying” by Laura Modigliani and found out that students may bully because their home life is torn up. For example, maybe their dad is never there. Also, they may bully because they have been bullied before and they just want other people to feel what they’re feeling. I also read “Meet the New Sheriff” by Suzanne McCabe which states that we can take action like organizing anti-bullying clubs and fundraisers. Plus, we can stand up for bullying and tell an adult. Bullies just begin to think that they are better than other people but they aren’t. They are just broken and need help. Together we can change the people being bullied and help the bullies themselves. It may be difficult for them to deal with their problems in a different way but I know that they can do it and so does everyone one else. Adults are a big part, too. You are going to have to be there for the kids whenever kids come in with problems, encourage them to do the right thing. You can help by trying to notice when a student is being bullied and you have to take action. Plus, who said adults couldn’t be bullies
