In the book Between Shades of Gray Ona is a character who is placed in the book to create emotion and a demonstration of motherly grace. One very important way they create These things with her in this book is by using her baby in the equation. As soon as her baby was born she had soviet soldiers stuff her and her baby into a cattle car full of people to take them to who knows where. On this trip in the cattle car no one expected the baby to live and right they were. Once the baby had died Ona was grieving over the child's death by “ Being very quite and not celebrating when they find out the germans were in lithuania!” (Sepetys 69). This adds great emotion and shows great motherly grace in the book by connecting with the people who are reading

The polish activist, Irena Sendler. once observed, ¨People can be only divided into good and bad; their race, religion, nationality don´t matter¨ (Sendler). Is it really possible to draw a demarcation line between people and divide them into good or bad? This kind of either-or thinking begs the question whether there might be other categories of individuals that overlap each other in term of personality and defy such simplistic definition as good or bad. The novel All The Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr is a fitting example of fiction to discuss the difference between polarized characters.

The play Kamau by Alani Apio exhibits a very strong example of the dramatic difference between the ways that local and non-local people view the value of land. The main character Alika is much attached to the land that his family has lived on for years, as the land that they’ve lived on has become their undeniable home. Alika works for a tour company that takes tourists around the island and gives a brief history of things that have happened on the island. However, Alika’s boss, Jim, is employed at a company that has just bought the land that Alika and his family live on and this company plans to build a resort in place of Alika’s home. The land in question has two very different meanings to two very different people. The struggle and
The play “A Raisin in the Sun” by Lorraine Hansberry has many interesting characters. In my opinion, the most fascinating character is Ruth because of her many emotions and captivating personality. She goes through extreme emotions in the play such as happiness, sadness, anger, stress, and confusion. Ruth is very independent, firm, kind, witty, and loving.
This film had spectacular performances from the actors, especially Takashi Shimura, who plays Kanbei. Kanbei is a seasoned samurai and he was first chosen by the elders of the village. Toshiro Mifune’s plays Kikuchiyo who is an abrasive samurai who bridges the gap between the warriors and the people who live in the village.
... of Heike, is replaced by female spirit with an air of loneliness, sadness, and regret. The noh play took away Tomoe’s integrity as a warrior and replaced it with a pale idea of her greatness. A samurai, who could defeat a thousand men, rode with valor, and display the power that Tomoe should not have to wander the world in death looking for pacification. Like Lord Kiso, Tomoe should have her own shrine. In future depictions of her life Tomoe deserves to be portrayed as the person she was brash, brave, and godlike, just as she was portrayed in the Tale of Heike.
The novel Lord of the Flies was written by William Golding. Golding wanted the story to be about a group of young boys whose plane crashed on an island, trying to escape war. The whole concept of this was so that he can show what a group of people can become given a set of inflicting conflicts that can change them for better or for worst. He gives great detail on how they go from sane to insane in a matter of time and turn into someone completely different all together. One of the boys on the island is named Simon. Simon’s personality and traits are similar to Jesus Christ because they both posse a form of insight, spirituality, and compassion.
