There are many different reasons to ways people think that women have less right than men when it comes to the workplace, how they're treated, and the things they can’t do. Many of these things ate do to race or other things. I do not believe that women have less right than men in today's world and it is because there are many laws written just for woman to be able to do what the need and want to do. They are treated different, but they are treated better in every way.
To begin, woman have many laws written so they can do what they want. Many people would say that woman have a lot less right than men do, and by reading the documents i would say so to, but two documents were written 150+ years ago and a lot has changed. Such as there are so

Women are treated different in the way that they are helped out of cars, given jackets to keep warmer, and they are helped in any way they usually need hence the word chivalry being used as a word to describe that manner of acting. If a woman doesn't want to be treated that way i do not know what is wrong with them.
In the poetic speech “Aint I A Woman” by Sojourner Truth it is said “That man over there says that women need to be helped into carriages, and lifted over ditches, and to have the best place everywhere. Nobody ever helps me into carriages, or over mud-puddles, or gives me any best place! And ain't I a woman?” this show that man do think of themselves as helping women but this is more a document about segregation due to race than to anything else. She is not treated different because she is a woman, she is treated different because she is african american.
Last but not least, the wage gap between men and women. There is a wage gap in the amount being paid to men women but this is for a totally different reason. Man have a tendency to work overtime more than women, that's how they get paid more. Men are also more likely to get dangerous jobs such as a construction worker or a firefighter. This has caused more money to be paid to men. There is also the equal pay act of 1963 with says it illegal for employers to pay a woman less than what a man would receive for the same
The article The Complex Causes of the Gender Pay Gap written by Barbara Wagner, she shows “Economic research on the gender pay gap has found many reasons for the differences in pay between men and women, including different career and education choices, differences in work experience, and, yes, discrimination. Both male and female managers are equally likely to demonstrate gender bias in hiring and pay” (Wagner, 2015).
There is a pay gap between men and women in the U.S. The pay gap affects women of all educations levels, and backgrounds. But white men are the largest demographic in labor forces so they possibly favor each other as opposed to women. The graph didn’t specify the type of jobs, or whether they were working parts time or fulltime. But in 2016, women working full time in the U.S. were paid 80% of what men were getting paid. There are some occupations that have not reached the equity but some have like retail, banking and real
Research explains this pay gap in three different accounts: job segregation, discrimination against women and practice and ideology of parenting. Job segregation affects the pay gap because most of the high earning jobs are men’s positions. For instance, CEO’s, doctors, lawyers, construction workers, etc. Women jobs are mostly service type jobs, which don’t make as much money as men’s jobs seem to.
...but in the work place. Today, man and woman have the same right, can have the same jobs and allowed to live and follow their dreams and goals. Women rights have evolved for the good of society and mankind.
The gender pay gap is defined as the difference between median earnings of men and women relative to median earning of men. It can be measured in three different ways: by how much they earn an hour, by how much they earn in a week and by how much they earn on a yearly basis. The gender pay gap is a social issue since it affects women, who make up approximately 50% of our population. Women of minority groups are affected more strongly by the gender pay gap since they earn even less than Caucasian women. Those women can even earn ,on average, 0.50$ for every dollar a man would make.
The wage gap not only represents gender discrimination in the workplace, it also reflects the ongoing issue of racial discrimination. While white women do typically earn less than white men, they out earn the majority of female colored workers in America. The average African American female makes only 64 cents for the white man’s dollar. Additionally, Hispanic women receive only 54 cents to their white male coworker’s dollar (Hegewisch para. 9).
Between all the trouble in the world, women's rights still stands out. This is a very important subject all around the world and makes the woman race feel equal and needed. Women’s rights have been important since the 1800s and is still a debatable topic today. Even though they think women don't have the potential to do anything, all women should be equal and should have equal rights with men because women should have a say with what happens in this world and women can pretty much do whatever a man can do.
"Women do all they can to try to prove that they are a human being and should have the same God-given rights that all men have. Women are super smart and know how to control things, and men do not want to accept
Even now, the continuing gender wage gap is a huge problem. On average, for a woman’s 78 cents is a man’s dollar. According to CNN, the wage gap is even bleaker for certain groups, “black women make 64 cents and Latinas make 56 cents for every dollar earned by a white man.”
One cannot begin the discussion of the gender pay gap without defining it. Simply put, the gender pay gap is the inequality between men and women's wages. The gender pay gap is a constant international problem, in which women are paid, on average, less than that of their male counterparts. As to whether gender pay gap still exists, its exactness fluctuates depending on numerous factors such as professional status, country and regional location, gender, and age. In regards to gender, in some cases, both men and women have stated that the gap does not exist.
Women Deserve the Same Rights as Men From the beginning of time, women have played a powerful role in the shaping of this world. They have stood by idly and watched as this country moved on without them, and yet they have demanded equal rights as the nation rolls along. Through the years, the common belief has been that women could not perform as well as men in anything, but over the years that belief has been proven wrong time and time again. So as time marches on, women have clawed and fought their way up the ladder to gain much needed equal respect from the opposite sex. However, after many years of pain and suffering, the battle for equal rights has not yet been won.
Women’s right to equal pay or gender pay gap has been a subject of discussion over the years in the united states, women perform similar jobs to men, but are paid
Act ladylike, they say. A woman could not think of that because men are smarter. Men take care of the family. In a society where discrimination against women has progressed since the 1800’s; sexism, gender bias, and patriarchy have since then created a name for itself. All three are combined to empower one sex over another.
For example if a women leaves the home without her husband's permission, “the husband could get the assistance of the police to forcibly return his wife to the marital home if she were absent without his leave” (Law and Women in the Middle East). Women live in constant fear of their significant other, who is supposed to be there for them, not cause harm in her life because she went out without his blessing. Women should be able to complete simple errands like grocery shopping or going to work but men do not allow them to do such things. This is important because they are expected to complete house work and take of the children but are not able to walk the kids to school or go to the park with them without a male relative going with her. In addition to not being able to leave the house without a male relative, “women are not allowed to drive cars” (7 Ridiculous Restrictions on Women’s Rights Around the World). Despite what men think, women drivers would not cause more car accidents than there already are. Furthermore, having women be able to drive would be easier on all the male family members because then they could have their own schedule not based around that of the female relative. Although, it has been proven that female drivers are actually better drivers than men, women are still refused the right to drive. Woman would be able to do so much more if men would allow them to have more
Women have fought for equal rights since the early 1820s and 1830s. There is a strong commitment to equality between women and men in the law. Equality among men and women has gone on for several centuries and nothing has been done about it. Providing equal rights within men and women may decrease pressure on both men and women of what their stereotypical jobs should be. If equal rights would release pressure on all humans, then why are women treated as the subdominant sex? Women should have the same rights as men and to do this it is up to the entire human race to work together to fight for equality between men and women.
