This Code does not attempt to describe all possible laws, rules and regulations that must be followed. Some of the more common laws, rules and regulations applicable to our business, however, include: antitrust and trade regulation laws, environmental laws, franchise laws, employment laws, product safety laws, advertising laws, etc.
Failure to Comply
A failure by any employee to comply with the laws or regulations governing Coffee shop business, this Code or any other company policy or requirement may result in disciplinary action, including suspension, reduction in salary, demotion, termination of employment, and, if warranted, legal proceedings.
Reporting of Illegal or Unethical Behavior

The organization we chose to audit is Starbucks. As one of the largest coffee chains in the United States, we saw an opportunity to analyze their company and learn from the challenges they face. With a plethora of different communication styles at work within the company it seemed to be a prefect platform for us to base our final project. The first Starbucks opened in 1971 in the historic Pikes Place Market in Seattle, Washington. There is now over 13,000 stores located in the U.S. alone. We’ll be focusing on the individual stores to see what communication styles take place within Starbucks on a day-to-day basis.
