Professor Suzanne Cory’s studies and career reflected on three specific values; Respect, Aspiration and Contribution. These values that the Suzanne Cory High School community follow match my personal values, and as a member of the Suzanne Cory High School community, I would strive to apply these values to every aspect of my life as I have been doing so far. Respect shows that one values another as an individual. It should be applied whether you are in the classroom, the playing field or at home. Respect is vital quality that I would habitually present as member of the Suzanne Cory High School Community. Aspiration is the ambition of achieving one’s desires with a passion. Suzanne Cory said, “It’s the excitement of being on the frontier.” She knew the thrill of being on the verge of making a discovery because of her passion for what she did. People are driven to reach their goals because of their aspiration, and through this value, I would always aspire to reach for the stars in the Suzanne Cory High School community. …show more content…
Contribution is essential because it show that we are focused on the issue, people can also benefit from our individual thoughts and ideas. As a member of the Suzanne Cory High School Community, I would give back to the community with my talents and achievement in my perspectives and beliefs through my contributions. This is my first year in Melbourne and it’s been great so far, however my current school, Werribee Secondary College hasn’t allowed me to embrace my talents and to improve on my weaker areas. My previous school in Sydney is called Hornsby Girls High School, which averagely ranks 5th in NSW High School Rankings. I learnt so much and enjoyed my time there, as it showed in my results. Suzanne Cory High School can help me to achieve the results I
Respect is a such a simple concept and a virtue that should be simple to follow. It means treating other people and animals in a dignified manner. Respect doesn’t mean that people need to hug everyone they come across or hold their opinion higher than everyone elses. Respect means treating others as equals and acknowledging that as human
Aspiration in life is the desire for experiences and knowledge before the time of life is over. Life is full of aspiration because without aspiration, life is an endless decay into
When I think of what respect means to me, my definition is: listening and being mindful of what someone is saying or doing. The dictionary on Google has respect listed as: “admire (someone or something) deeply, as a result of their abilities, qualities, or achievements” (Google). I have never associated with respect with admiring someone’s abilities, qualities, yet along their achievements. The two different mothers in the stories view respect differently as well.
For years now it’s been my dream to attend Melbourne High School. My two cousins have attended the school in the past five years and I’ve heard how enriching being part of the MHS community can be. They have both become excellent role models for me and now I wish to experience being part of the school’s tradition for myself.
I am a current High Point University student writing to you in support of Ms. Jacqueline Baker and her ambition to attend High Point University to study Elementary Education. I believe that she has the skillset to become a future High Point University Panther.
Ambition is a strong desire or drive to succeed or achieve something. It can help a person to strive at getting something they want. If someone wants something badly enough, their ambition will help them not give up until they achieve at getting what they want. But also, if a person has too much ambition, it could make that person do destructive things to get what they want and they will hurt anyone or anything that gets in their way.

For respect for all person, I put guys helping another guy to climb the mountain. This shows respect because it shows that he just didn’t climb and just take his break but instead he turn his face and helped the other guy to finish climbing the mountain. This might not really represent respect in other people's point of view but for I define respect also as helping other in any circumstance and be able to show that you can respect people by doing things instead of talking.
Respect is a very important thing to have in life. Without respect, there is only disrespect. Every person
“It's important to understand that while honor is an entitlement to respect--and shame comes when you lose that title--a person of honor cares first of all not about being respected but about being worthy of respect.” (Appiah, 2015) This quote basically states that honor is very important. Within the school if you have honor you have respect, and other people will respect you. Respect goes a long way and having it can get you very far in life. It could be the reason you got accepted to college somewhere or nail the job you want. Although in order for others to respect you, you have to respect them. Respect is good to have in school.
Earned respect builds a stronger respect and a stronger relationship between people. When another person earns your respect you work harder to have that same respect returned to you by emulating that respect-worthy behavior. One example of this is my 5th grade teacher, Ms. Cindy Lee. By allowing us to call her by her first name, Cindy, she made the learning environment a lot more approachable. Another example is certain NYPD officers, who have breaking the "blue wall of silence';, re...

Respect: without respect you can’t build a relationship. Respect is the foundation on which relationships are built and if there is no respect the relationship will be unstable.
Having respect as a personal value is of utmost importance for me. I like to be respected and so do others. However, I have to first respect myself before I can have respect for others. Despite the issues, sickness or symptoms of a service users, their rights have to be respected when I am present at work to support them.
Respect goes a long way in education. You have to give respect in order to get respect some would say. Children have to be taught how to give respect. Schools are on of the first places where the behavior and future educational success is shaped. Teachers either have a negative or positive affect on student’s behavior. Out of behavior comes respect. You want to be that positive role model that a student needs to have success in life. The first years are very important to children because this is where they learn the base of educational life. Teachers must h...
