Lasallian core principles The Lasallian had five core principles which are faith in the presence of God, concern for the poor and social justice, respect for all person, quality educations and inclusive community. They believed that with this core principles they going to build and create a strong community that will succeed not only in religion but also in education. I chose this because it shows that how when we work together as a community we can succeed and be on top of things instead of trying to do it by ourselves. Lasallian was supporting this because they know that if their students, the teachers, and the staff are not showing a strong community the schools is going to be horrible so they make sure that inclusive community is one of their community and I think that why the lasslian school is succeeding because of their strong community. For respect for all person, I put guys helping another guy to climb the mountain. This shows respect because it shows that he just didn’t climb and just take his break but instead he turn his face and helped the other guy to finish climbing the mountain. This might not really represent respect in other people's point of view but for I define respect also as helping other in any circumstance and be able to show that you can respect people by doing things instead of talking. This five core principles helped the Lasallian school to succeed and able to grow the quality of education and the social aspect of the school. I think without this 5 core principle the Lasallian school wouldn’t succeed like now because this helped a lot and I can tell this thing from De La Salle because I have the opportunity to experience
Respect is a such a simple concept and a virtue that should be simple to follow. It means treating other people and animals in a dignified manner. As soldiers soldiers we should always respect our peers because they have made the same sacrifice as us. But as soldiers we should have a higher level of respect for our NCOs because they have done their time an have earned it. At this time, I became a group leader in an after-school program for a 3rd-grade class. This was my first time working with children and as imagined, it was a tough transition. The students were Latino and African American, living in poverty stricken neighborhoods with a dysfunctional home life. The program focused on students who were at risk of retention. A large number of students were below average and had been recommended to receive extra academic support. As a result of my time spent working and learning with the students, I choose an educational path.
An example of this in adult nursing could be in a hospital, during personal care. If a patient is unable to complete their own personal care and hygiene due to physical difficulties, such as if they have suffered a stroke in the past, nurses will help them to complete the care. Respect is used by the nurses when carrying out this task by ensuring they are speaking kindly to the patient, ensuring they feel comfortable, and by receiving permission before performing any task. By gaining the patients permission, they will feel that they have a higher level of control of the care, will feel more respected, and they will begin to develop a trusting relationship with the nurses.

In three seperate dictionaries, respect is defined as a regard for or appreciation of the worth or value of someone or something. In my opinion, respect goes far beyond this definition. Respect is the cornerstone of the society in which we live. Although many look at respect as simply treating another person or thing with kindness, this word has many different aspects. For instance, I would not give an elder the same type of respect that I would give my peers or myself. Respect is not considered a neccessity in this world but, I can’t imagine a person getting very far in life without this virtue.

There are four philosophies of education. They consists of perennialism, progressivism, social Reconstructionism, and essentialism. Each philosophy of education plays a role in American education. Today essentialism plays one of the biggest roles in American education. Essentialism tries to give all students the most basic academic knowledge, skills, and character development. I too believe in the essentialism philosophy of education. I agree with this philosophy because I believe that intellectual self-discipline should be encouraged within the classroom, all students have the ability to learn regardless of their needs, and teachers should concentrate on teaching basic skills. All of these beliefs falls under the essentialism philosophy
The entire community plays an essential role in the growth and development of children within our community. As a school leader, building an inclusive school culture that is open and friendly to all stakeholders using a variety of effective methods is crucial. There is no magic formula to incorporating a positive school culture, much depends on the leadership of the campus. The leadership on campus cultivates the climate providing support and respect for everyone invested in the student’s education.

My core educational values define what I believe is necessary tools students need to be successful. Such values are provided by the community of people (educators, parents, business partners) who touch the students’ lives. I value knowledge because without awareness of specific content, students are not able to truly feel a part of society. I value development of skills in order for students to apply their knowledge. When skills are applied, students demonstrate their knowledge and ability to function in our current world. I value critical thinking in our students so they can extend their knowledge and skills to solve complex problems benefitting our present and future. I value citizenship and feel that education has a responsibility to model and nurture character qualities in our students. Educating students is raising them equipped with tools that will enable them to function as contributing participants in a productive society. Knowledge, skills, critical thinking, and citizenship are educational values at the core of developing a student ready for the world’s challenges.
We have a responsibility to cultivate a sense of community and belonging. The quote, “It takes a village to raise a child”, rings true in so many ways. Education is a collaborative effort that needs leadership and a strong vision. Co-operation among all stakeholders is essential. A community is an essential extension of a school. Relationships between a school and its’ community, whether educational, entrepreneurial, co-operative or charitable, should not just be encouraged but pursued.
