The film implements a substantial amount of video footage and social media posts that were able to help detectives, and police officers piece together what led up to Shannans’ disappearance, and her final moments. Conveniently, Shannan was very active on social media, specifically Facebook. She would post videos of her daughters often and go live to discuss her thoughts on her husband, as well as her appreciation for him. The film shows a video posted on her Facebook page in which their daughter Bella sings, “My daddy is a hero, he helps me grow up strong.” Shanann also uploaded a screenshot displaying a text message between her and Chris, showing him their baby's ultrasound in which he replied "Little Peanut! Love her/him already!" Followed by the caption, "I love Chris!
