Dear President Moose, do you actually believe Audrey is capable of killing her own father? I mean he is still the person who gave life to her don't you think she will feel a little remorse for him? It has been known that most people in my class are trying to investigate the case as well. For the most part, I can totally understand why they are so hooked on solving the mysterious answer. After analyzing the story " The Murder" By Joyce Carol Oates I've come up with some clues that can help me solve this mysterious story. Personally, I indeed believe Audrey is capable of murdering her father.

In the beginning of the story where Audrey talks about "A gunshot" (Oates), I feel like she is just retelling the story and has indeed already shot her father, because remember when she says " I am one of the faces" (Oates), when the cameras shifted at the crowd what if she was talking about actually seeing her face on TV? Also, when she says talks about this mysterious woman in his campaign; I have a feeling she is talking about her being those mysterious women. …show more content…

I believe, that is one of her reasons of why she murders her father because she says " There are reasons for his murder” (Oates) Meaning like he is already murdered and there was a reason to why she murdered him. Therefore, I feel like Audrey has hate for her father for wrecking the only person who stayed by her
