Does being judgmental and superior make you greater than other homo-sapiens? Well some people may argue this case. However, in “Revelation,” O’Conner Flannery wrote about Mrs. Turpin and her husband, Claud, and his visited to the doctor’s office, where she is being superior and judgmental to other people that are in there. For instance, Mrs. Turpin judges Mary Grace to be fat and ugly. Everybody is compared to Mrs. Turpin since she is an upstanding, polite, good Christian. She thinks that she is better than everybody else. She is grateful that God has made everything the way it is. However, in the story O’Conner shows that one’s actions are meaningless if one judges others because god will judge the person with the same judgment.
Mrs. Turpin is self-absorbed natural person. She considers herself to be above those in lower social classes. Mrs. Turpin usually labels people into different social classes. Her judgmental basically comes down to race and property. Since she and her husband, own a home and land with a hog farm makes her better than everybody else. She often praises Jesus for not having made her white trash or ugly by saying, “If it’s one thing I am… It’s grateful. When I think who all I could have been besides myself and what all I got, a little of everything, and a good disposition beside, I just feel like shouting. “Thank you, Jesus, for making everything the way it is!’ It could have been different!” just because she is white, she judges herself superior to black people even though they might own property. Mrs. Turpin is far from perfect, but she is happy to be who she is.

...nferiors and unworthy were actually arriving in heaven first. At the rear of this great parade into heaven Mrs. Turpin sees her face, with her proper Christian friends as they looked stunned. It makes her realize that she is not better than everybody else. That color or figure does not matter anymore. Mrs. Turpin view of the world has changed.
We should learn that we are all alike to God. It not based on color or figure as some people would go by. God is going to look as equal because we are no better off than next the person. Even though homo-sapiens are judgmental and superior like Mrs. Turpin, Humans must understand that god judges humans as we judge others. Humans should take that in to consideration to avoid doing the similar thing that Mrs. Turpin is doing. If humans do, they won’t be in front of heaven; instead they will be in the rear of this great parade.
