Why Stephen Curry is the best player and most inspirational player
Accomplished NBA marksman, Stephen Curry, is hands down the best player in the NBA, and his road to glory was definitely not easy. Today he is known for his outstanding shooting skills and his inspirational story.
Stephen Curry is hands down the best 3-Pt shooter in the NBA. He holds many records for his shooting. Stephen Curry, the NBA’s MVP broke his own record for the most three-pointers in a season this past season. As a 44% career three point shooter who’s made an average of more than 200 three pointers per season, he is on his way to crush the record for the most amounts of three pointers per season. He won the 2015 3-Pt contest, meaning he and other NBA

players had a shootout, and he made the most amount of shots in the given time. Not only is his shot the best in the NBA, but the mechanics of his shot and his playing style make him the best current scorer in the NBA. Stephen Curry broke the record for the most amount of 3’s in NBA history.
How did he do that you wonder? His physical attributes gives him the upper hand when it comes to shooting. Stephen Curry dribbles at over 10MPH down the court, and whenever he feels the need to stop and set his speed for a jump shot, it only takes him .33 seconds. Most NBA players dribble down the court with no more than 7MPH, and it takes them almost a full second to stop and set the speed for a jump shot. But how efficient is his jumps shot? His jump shot is one the most consistent shots in the NBA. His forearm is always within 5 degrees of vertical, and he consistently releases the ball as he is rising, .06 before the apex of his jump. On a 3-point shot, Stephen Curry releases the ball within 50 to 55 degrees. At 6 foot 3 inches, 4 feet shorter than the NBA average, not only does this higher trajectory help him shoot over taller defenders, it also creates a larger target at the other end of the parabola. But the most incredible thing about Curry’s shot is his quick release. After picking up his dribble, Curry can get off his shot in as little as .4 of a second! That’s the same amount of time it takes the basketball to rotate once on the way to the basket! According to Sports Science, that is the quickest release in the NBA! In fact, in the amount of time an average NBA player takes to shoot the ball, Stephen Curry’s shot is already airborne 12 feet above the
court. People think that Stephen Curry was just born with a good shot. This is incorrect. Before he was in the NBA, he was nothing but a long shot. As a high school sophomore, he stood at five foot six, and weighed 125 pounds. Lacking strength, he shot from his waste. Then sophomore summer, his father, Dell Curry, worked on his shot all day and night. Before you knew it, sophomore year in high school, he was averaging just less than 20 points per game. However no colleges wanted him. No colleges called. He used that as inspiration to keep playing, and before you knew it, a small college named Davidson called. They were not that known, but he took them to the NCAA final four. Stephen Curry is the best scorer, player, and has an inspirational story behind him. He did not just get drafted because of his appearance like most NBA players, his road to glory was not easy.
During his career, Michael Jordan earned beautiful stats on offense as well as defense due to his scoring abilities, teamwork, and respect for other players in the NBA. On offense, Michael Jordan successfully made an astounding 32,292 point during his career after making 12,192 Field Goals, but attempted 24,537. Michael Jordan was unable to hone in his shot beyond the three point line, which caused him to only make 581 3-Point Field Goals out of his 1,778 attempts, earning him a .327 3-Point Field Goal percentage. This was not the case when it came to his free throw shooting abilities, making a remarkable 7,327 goals out of 8,772 attempts which earned him a .835 free throw percentage. Michael Jordan continued with his offensive skills which allowed him to attain 6,672 assists, and 1,668 offensive rebounds, but regrettably Michael allowed 2,924
“Maybe this guy is god disguised as Michael Jordan” (Michael Jordan). Michael Jordan is clearly the best basketball player to have ever set foot on a basketball court as Larry Bird put it jokingly. He wasn’t the perfect basketball player but he was good enough to surpass the rest of the league as a whole. Because of his superior skills and incomprehensible work ethic, he can be considered an outlier. There is no other player that has accomplished as much as Jordan and will probably never see something like it again.
Wilt Chamberlain was the first NBA player to score more than 30,000 cumulative points over his career, and the first and only player to score 100 points in a single game. "They say nobody is perfect. Then they tell you practice makes perfect. I wish they'd make up their minds." Without Wilt Chamberlain the world would have missed one of the greatest basketball players in the history of
Kobe spent years trying to mimic everything about Michael Jordan including his footwork, shooting form etc. and it definitely payed off . Kobe has the 3rd most points scored of all time and he is the all time Lakers points leader. However, Kobe’s success is his but his influence is not, it belongs to Michael Jordan as it was Kobe who mimicked Jordan. The points scored by Kobe have an often unseen angle, Kobe also has the missed the most shots ever (Nba.com)). LeBron, on the other hand, is currently the youngest player to reach 20,000 points even though Kobe has played 6 more seasons than LeBron has out-rebounded, out-assisted, out-stole and out-blocked Kobe Bryant (nba.com). While doing so LeBron changed what constitutes all 5 positions, for example before LeBron, the point guard was the smallest player on the court who can dribble, but after LeBron’s arrival where he has dominated every position with his 6’8 280 pound frame and his incredible basketball IQ, the point guard has become the composer of the symphony that is an offensive possession in a game of basketball"LeBron James." Due to the mark Michael Jordan has left on the world as the “G.O.A.T.”, it will be very difficult for any player to surpass his legacy. Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant and LeBron James all have similarities of Michael Jordan but, out of all three players James is the closest. LeBron has the most similarities and the potential to surpass Michael Jordan’s legacy with his personality, stats and he popularity on and off the court. Even though James has the potential to surpass his legacy, there is still a very long journey ahead of James if he ever wants to be considered the “G.O.A.T.”.
First, we will celebrate LeBron James’s accomplishments in the NBA. There are over 400 players in the NBA. These players are on the battlefield, fighting day after day because they all know only one can become the Most Valuable Player. LeBron James rose above all, claiming the MVP award, not 1, not 2, not 3, but 4 times. Not only is LeBron James an MVP, but he is also a 13-time All-Star player. LeBron James garnered enough votes from the fans, the players, and the media to become an All-Star like a presidential candidate getting enough votes from the voters to become the President.
Rick Barry was known for his underhand granny-style free throw shot, surprisingly though, he was a deadly shooter from the line. He had good scoring skill and pretty good defense too. His former AI Attles coach says, “Ricks a superstar.” Once it was time for Rick’s NBA career, he was the 1st overall pick in the 1965 draft. He played for the San Francisco Warriors and won Rookie of the Year with 25.7 points per game, and 4th in scoring. He matched Wilt Chamberlain’s record of 48 shots in a game in 1967, only 22 shots were made though. At the end of his second season, he led the league in scoring with 35.6 points per game, 2,775 points in

With superstar snipers in Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson it is no wonder the Golden State Warriors lead the NBA in 3 point shooting percentage. Not only are they shooting over 40% from behind the 3 point line, which many consider to be the barometer of an elite shooter, as a team they are the number 1, three point shooting team with a 4...
Alexis Becerra Mrs. Batey English IV 19 October 2018 Kobe Bryant Kobe Bryant is said to be one of the best basketball players of all time. His will to win and dedication is what separates him from everyone else. His competitiveness is on another level. Tough obstacles were put in his way that changed his life.
As a result, the competition now is the toughest it has ever been in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Therefore, greatness can be viewed from many different aspects. Determining the greatest player of all time is far more
Michael Jordan is considered, by many, to be the greatest basketball player of all-time. However many do not know who he is as a person, or what he has contributed to basketball. Michael Jordan may be the greatest basketball player of all-time, but he is much more than a basketball player. He has contributed to many different charities, he was a baseball player, and he is a golfer. He is a champion off the court just as much as he was on the court to many people who receive donations from him. Jordan was a champion on the basketball court, but he is still a champion in the hearts of many off the court.
Here is another reason why the warriors are the best team in the NBA.The warriors are the best team in the NBA because they have the best player in the world and the league MVP (Stephen Curry). Stephen Curry is the best player in the world right now because he has won two mvps in a row.According to NBA writer Scott Davis Stephen Curry is the best player in the NBA and he might still be getting better.Scott Davis said that stephen curry is the best player in the world and still might be getting better because Stephen Curry is the best player in the world and NBA right now because he averaged 30 points 7 asits 5 rebounds and 5 threes pointers per game. BANG, Stephen Curry hits the shot from way downtown, around 30 feet! That would be 4-point shot if the NBA makes an idea real. If they actually made this “4-point line” it would be unfair, a bad habit, and a distraction from the game of basketball. Personally, I think it’s a bad idea. I can make 30 foot shots but I wouldn’t like that kind of shot to give me an extra point. Even if it helps me win games or proves that I’m a good shooter. I have plenty of reasons.
A team that shoots well will obviously score a lot of points and probably win the game regardless of the opponent’s offence. Great passing and fancy footwork are nice, but ultimately, the main point of basketball is to try to put the ball in the basket. Thus, it is crucial to explore the various physical aspects of the shot. This is possible because according to legendary coach Jerry Tarkanian, shooting a basketball is actually a science because it involves mechanical
