Author Stephanie Ericsson feels the need to lie, as the truth will often have negative consequences that she does not want to be faced with. She recognizes that the truth hurts her, but her lies hurt many others. Ericsson goes over the many different types of lies people tell. She starts with The White Lie; a small lie we tell people that smidges the truth just a little.
