Steve Jobs’ net worth is $10.2 billion dollars after becoming a successful man and creating lots of innovative technology (“Steve Jobs…”). In his earlier life, he would sell Coke bottles to get 5 cents in order to pay for his food every week and he usually made enough money to eat out one night a week (Jobs). He began working at Apple where he introduced to people the first computer, smartphone, and music-downloading program. Jobs eventually became the co-owner of Pixar Studios where Toy Story was the first film produced in 1995 (The Personal). Steve Jobs had a very weak background where he later improved the technology industry incredibly.
Being a strong-minded person allowed Steve Jobs to be very successful in life doing things he enjoyed by helping others. Steven Paul Jobs was born February 24, 1955 in San Francisco, California. Jobs was adopted and raised by his adoptive parents in Cupertino, California (Levy). However, Jobs’ biological mom never graduated from college and his father never graduated from high school. Jobs’ adoptive parents were called in the middle of the night after the first set of parents denied him and were asked if they would like to take a baby boy (Jobs). Growing up in California, where there is lots of innovative technology, helped influence Steve Jobs to figure out what he wanted to do.
Schooling never seemed to be a problem for Jobs even though his parents did not graduate from high school or college. Jobs graduated from Homestead High School in 1971 and later graduated from Reed College, located in Portland, Oregon (Steve Jobs). While Jobs attended Reed College, he felt like it was a total waste because he had no idea what he wanted to do when he finished school (Jobs). Eventually, Jobs dropped out ...

Steve Jobs imagined life as a big puzzle that had to be put together without looking at a picture. Being a kid who was adopted right after being born is not something many kids have to deal with, but like Jobs, many that are put in that situation become successful people. Not knowing what the future holds is okay because no one picks their first choice even after doing it many times. By introducing computers, smartphones and music-downloading programs, it allowed many people to connect in a whole new way. Steve Jobs was an influential American because he helped develop the technology industry and created things no one would have ever thought of.
Steve developed innovations and inventions in technology that were meant to benefit the people. He wanted to make technology accessible to everyone, so he made his tech smaller and cheaper. In addition to creating technology that helps us in more ways than one, is that he also donated large sums of his own money to charities. Jobs was a very private person and never mentioned philanthropic duties in the media (which lead to many criticising him) but did in fact donate $50 million to Stanford hospitals in California and funded HIV and AIDS research.

Gates had never imagined that the thirteen year old boy who loved to program computers in his parent’s garage would one day find himself to be considered the world’s wealthiest man alive, having a total net worth of $76 billion. Having began on his own, tinkering with computers and computer software, Gates later created the seed of Microsoft, or what was originally called Traf-O-Data in the summer of 1972. (Fast Facts) It wasn’t until two years later, with the help of his co-founder, Paul Allen that Microsoft was born, transforming the technological world in ways that the people had never seen. The birth of Microsoft changed the ways of old computers, making way for faster newer and more innovative technology, along with bringing on a strong competition with their rival company, Apple Inc. With this grand cooperation, Bill Gates was also accumulating a large mass of money, gradually finding himself to top the charts of the Forbes World Billionaires List. (Fast Facts) Despite being well known for his contributions to Microsoft, Bill Gates’ most profound impact on the American culture was in medical and educational advances provided by The Gates foundation, paralleled by his philanthropic views and aid in the lives of the both poor and wealthy.
He didn’t become rich instantly. He continued to follow his dreams and passions despite his struggles. He eventually signed up for the best calligraphy class in the country because it piqued his interest. Steve Jobs described what he learned as “beautiful, historical, and artistically subtle in a way that science can’t capture, and I found it fascinating” (8). Jobs eventually found something that he found fascinating to pursue, knowing that it had no hope of practical use in life. A decade later, Jobs was able to use the lessons he learned in that class to build the first Mac and build up Apple from the ground up. All of Job’s wealth came from him following his dreams without
