Ever since I could remember there has always been an inclination towards science. The desire to understand how things worked has always intrigued me. Set on the inclination I always explored the basic application of science i.e. building a lemon battery to designing a simple pulley lift at science fairs at school. Thus making Production Engineering a good option. It provides a strong engineering foundation and also educates on the management of an industry. This is the very reason I was able to decide that I wanted a career in this field.
With my mother being a teacher the values of education have been inculcated into me from a very young age. I was always given a freedom to choose my career. With the existing inclination towards science I decided to go ahead with engineering. I have completed my schooling (Grades 1-10) from the prestigious institution of Indian School, Bahrain. Realizing that engineering was my focal point I decided to move from Bahrain to Mumbai to pursue engineering from a young age. This was made possible when I got admitted at Bhausaheb Vartak Polytechnic. The course dealt with building blocks of engineering like Machine Design, Tool Design, Metrology and Quality Control .These subjects covered the technical aspects and were based on a statistical approach towards completion of projects.
My under graduate program was a judicious mix of theory and practice. Subjects like Operation Research, Automation and Control Engineering, Fluid Mechanics, Production and Operation management, Total Quality Management and Sales and Marketing management fascinated me and I made efforts to acquire extended knowledge on these outside the realms of my syllabus. These not only enhanced my learning but also prove...

Due to the same affinity towards Mathematics, Science and research in general, I have opted for Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as my major subjects in high school (XII th standard), where I have scored the top marks with 91%. I have secured State 340 Rank among the 250,000 students in the Common Engineering Entrance Exam (EAMCET), it’s the only Entrance Exam for admissions into the undergraduate colleges in the state. I have also secured All India Rank of 107 ...
I took up Computer Science and Engineering as my discipline in Bhoj Reddy Engineering College for Women affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, one of the premier institutes in India. My undergraduate education has been a great learning and enriching process for me. It exposed me to all the core areas of Computer Science like operating systems, database management systems, networks and network security, data structures, algorithms and software engineering. These courses have given me a good foundation in the core concepts. My interest lies in Database Management, Programming Languages, Theory of Computation, and Software Engineering. I am fully acquainted with the fast growing subjects like Object Oriented Programming, Analysis and Design. On the other hand, the intensive laboratory classes exposed me to a fascinating world of experimentation. It was here that I discovered the qualities of perseverance and diligence in myself. I feel that these courses have done a lot to prepare me for my future studies and research work.
Tooling U introduced me to many of the potential possibilities within the Industrial Technology industry. Before taking this class I felt that I did not completely understand what my major entailed. I understood the basics of what Industrial Technology and Packaging offered, but I did not fully realize all of the endless possibilities related to it. The key concepts that I studied throughout this course consisted of; Abrasives, Additive Manufacturing, Adhesives, CNC, Electrical Systems, Fasteners, Hydraulics and Pneumatics, Inspection, Manual Machining, Materials, Metal Cutting, Quality, Robotics, Safety, Shop Essentials, Supervisor Essentials and Welding. Many of the these courses reinforced information that I have already learned, but also peaked my interest and taught me
Engineering has been a key interest of mine since childhood. While still in grade school I enjoyed listening to my father, an electrical engineer, teach me about advances in technology, and was always eager to hear more. I was introduced to my first computer at the age of five, and have loved interacting with them ever since. My decision to study engineering as a career was no surprise to those who knew me.
Range of unique courses to develop skilled professionals who could play a important role in the growing technology industry.
Learning is a continuous process and the day that you stop learning is the day that you start decreasing your rewards and lower levels of satisfaction. My ardent desire to acquire knowledge has motivated me to pursue higher studies at graduate level, and to take up a career in research in industry. I have taken this decision after carefully considering my academic background, profound interest in research and strong aptitude for problem solving. Banking on an excellent academic record coupled with a keen interest in the ever-growing field of science and technology motivated me to take up engineering.
People travel miles in search of their true passion; some find them early in their life and I consider myself lucky enough to be one among them. I found my true calling at the age of 12 on a field trip to a milk factory. It seemed like the Disneyland of science with huge machineries, conveyer belts running all around, and instruments working about in their own rhythm with sheer intricacies and perfection. As a kid, I was eager to understand the mechanics behind this magical rhythm. The desire of gaining in-depth knowledge about Control System and Automation eventually led me to choose Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering as my undergraduate study.

The ultimate aim of the engineering curricula is to produce engineering professionals who can provide technical solutions to the societal needs (Hassan B, 2007). The study shows that there is a strong need for receptiveness among the Indian graduates to know the employability skills crucial by the global talent market. It is crucial to revise the curriculum at regular intervals to cater to the needs of the industry. It is important to increase the industry-academia contact. Enhancing the skills and application of knowledge through explicit training will facilitate the recruits to execute their jobs in a paramount manner and that is the need of the hour.(pg
I maintained a good academic profile during my undergraduate study, ranking among the top 6% of my graduating class. During my undergraduate study, it was the field of Transportation Engineering that caught my special interest and ever since I have strived to achieve my dream of becoming a Transportation Engineer. My interest for Transportation Engineering was sparked by courses such as Transportation Engineering and Highway Engineering in my third year. These courses introduced me to the fundamentals of traffic engineering and geometric design of roads respectively. As part of the course requirements, we undertook a mini project where we carried out traffic survey and subsequently undertook traffic analysis for a major road in Kumasi, Ghana. We also carried out parking studies and analysis, and presented our results to a panel of Lecturers. Subsequently, I majored in Transportation Engineering in my final year. To augment the theoretical knowledge gained in class, I interned at Ussuya Construction Limited (construction of spintex road 4.0km) during my long vacation, where I gained knowledge in surveying, supervision of road works amongst other
At this stage of my life, I have many ambitions, the first step of which is to carry out my Masters studies in Automotive Engineering. Attending U.K. universities is surely a dream for distinguished students all over the world, especially the ones who are passionate about education. Secondly and a more subtle reason being acquiring a degree that has global recognition has become a necessity if one desires to carve out a niche for oneself in this increasingly global economy. Given a chance I shall prove my worthiness.
