I am applying to be an orientation leader because I want to make an impact on the Class of 2020. My experience so far at Bryant has been truly remarkable. I absolutely love this school and want to share some of my bulldog spirit with future bulldogs. Additionally, I had such an amazing experience at my orientation, and now I want to give the Class of 2020 an equally amazing experience. Speaking with previous Orientation Leaders, one thing they all spoke about was the incredible friendships they formed as an orientation leader. Being an Orientation leader would provide me with a tremendous opportunity to meet new people and form great friendships while making a difference in the lives of incoming Bulldogs. As a member of the team of OL’s
I want to be a Bank of America Student Leader because I wish to be able to experience new opportunities for volunteering and interact with others who shares the same interests. This opportunity would also allow me to learn more about leadership skills so that I will be a better leader in the future to make improvements for the community. Even though I lack many traits, I am willing to learn from criticisms and I am open minded to others’ opinions. Born talented or not, I believe that the desire to learn is the most important characteristic that a person can possess and I am willing to learn from this opportunity if I am lucky enough to receive it. Being a Vietnamese immigrant who is living in a large Vietnamese community in Garden Grove, I
The reason why I want to become an Orientation Leader is because I see this as something that I am naturally attracted to. By becoming an orientation, I will possess the opportunity to make a batch of new friends. In the process, some of the relationships that I establish can transform into a lifelong bond. I feel like as an orientation leader, I will become a member of the unique community of orientation staff and create a bond that I can carry with me throughout my time here at Winthrop.
Overall, I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to be an Area Officer so that I can better serve my fellow members, the FFA, and my community and world. As a leader I would put into practice the characteristics I have previously talked about. I would strive to always be open minded, a good listener, available to assist member, serve all those in the organization and our communities, and represent the FFA to the best of my
As an Orientation Leader, I will contribute to the development of an inclusive community by making sure to engage everyone in my OL group in all activities. Moreover, I will make sure to set ground rules regarding our discussion (for example, people must wait their turn to speak if someone else is already speaking). I will also be cognizant of the fact that some students may be more vocal, while others may feel more shy or withdrawn. I also realize that cultural differences can also lead some students to see others as unfriendly or in a less positive light, and therefore would work hard to support all students in my Orientation group
Despite not being a part of over 20 different organizations, as some claim to be, being a part of a smaller number of groups has allowed me to focus on developing my leadership skills more thoroughly than I could otherwise. Not spreading myself too thin has made me much more committed and involved in the organizations that I am a part of, making my influences so much stronger. I firmly believe that I am trying my absolute best not only in school, but in leaving my comfort zone and being an active member in our community. I am honored that I have been considered for such a prestigious invitation as
My first goal after passing the Board of Certification exam for Athletic Training in April is to earn my Master’s degree while working as a Graduate Assistant in the Athletic Training department. In order to make sure that I am successful with my first goal, I am applying to over 25 schools across the nation. I have reached out to various athletic trainers in all different settings in order to make the connections needed to earn a Graduate Assistant position. I have attended Seahawk leadership conferences held on campus to build my leadership skills and I have held, and am currently holding, leadership positions in the other organizations that I am involved in on campus. I have earned supplemental experience in athletic training by working with the Wilmington Sharks, working as a camp counselor and lab assistant at the North Carolina Student Sports Medicine Symposium, and working with the UNCW Soccer youth camps over the summer. I also work to attend
My purpose in applying for a Master's Degree in Organizational Leadership is to advance my academic career through the qualities and the values of Jesuit teachings and to expand my ability to become an effective leader. As part of my personal goal, I would like to be a bridge for different organizations and to build a strong community that consists of people working together for a cause that will affect community in a positive way such as volunteering, social well being, political, and spreading compassion for others. I want to be part of a program that will continue to promote my mission of empowerment and community involvement. Also, to build a network, improve my networking skills, and grow with new leadership development. In addition to my professional background, I believe your program can help me inspire, create hope and reach out to diverse communities to open the lines of understanding and communication.

While I'd love to write a four page essay on all of my positive attributes and why I can be a positive addition to band leadership; I'm going to narrow it down to three key points that clearly show my success in the band program. I’ve looked forward to demonstrating my will to become a part of the band leadership program since the end of freshman year; wanting to prove how much i've learned throughout my participation in the color guard. Starting with my dedication to the whole band program, will to improve my all around skills through the band, and ending with the fact that the guard has evolved tremendously throughout my highschool years in a positive way.
The title, “Orientation Leader”, bestows an individual with the power to be a part of something bigger than themselves; a position that lets he or she guide many new students to a new door way for the betterment of the students educational future. Though this is a title I have had only shortly, I have been honored to be that individual to show these students that door. I was delighted when I received an email about this opportunity. Not only just because of the chance to complete my Honors Program Project, but as a chance to better myself. As I was trained in I quickly became aware of some skills I would obtain in the next couple months. However, little did I know the amount and importance of those skills/lessons would turn out to be far greater than I had initially imagined.
Firstly, I wish to be accepted into this organization because I am exited by the prospect of improving my leadership skills. Although I have not had quite as many leadership opportunities as I would like in the past, I understand that a key component of joining this organization is the chance to become a more effective leader. The skills that I will acquire through participation in this organization will allow me to be an effective leader for the remainder of my high school career, throughout my college experience, and well into later life. I know how lucky I am to be an intelligent person who is able to lead others in enacting change within society. Through my experiences within this organization, I will be able to hone and demonstrate my leadership skills in a way that will allow me to truly make a difference in the world.
According to this assessment, I am high in both consideration of behavior and initiating structure when working in a group setting since I answered “mostly true” on every question evaluated. Consideration behavior, by definition, refers to a level of sensitivity toward how other members of the group may feel. Alternatively, initiating structure focuses more toward driving the group to finish tasks and meet deadlines. Honestly, I am not at all surprised that I scored high on both leadership orientations, especially since the majority of my previous leadership experience was in a veterinary hospital. Given the nature of this profession, it was imperative to develop strong people and animal management skills, while also learning how to manage
My interest in the University of Tulsa is strengthened by the required practicum and field experience, as well as, excellent faculty and facilities. I intend to pursue a career in applied research and organizational consulting, therefore, these qualities are imperative to myself and my career.
Learning is a continuous process and the day that you stop learning is the day that you start decreasing your rewards and lower levels of satisfaction. My ardent desire to acquire knowledge has motivated me to pursue higher studies at graduate level, and to take up a career in research in industry. I have taken this decision after carefully considering my academic background, profound interest in research and strong aptitude for problem solving.
When I was a freshmen in AU, my friend asked me to help him out with his small business, since
