A Business Owner The future can be scary, it’s full of unknown answers. Where will I be? Where will I live? Will I have kids? When it comes to the future I know one thing, I’m going to have started a career. The career you go into effect how you live the rest of your life so you want to choose the right one. Your career should be something that you enjoy doing and look forward to doing for a long time. Many have said that “If you love what you do, you never work a day in your life.” Starting your own business put you in the position to have your dream job. So why take the risk of starting your own business? It’s simple the profit, opportunity, and the challenge. The opportunity to help others is the first that comes to mind. The advantage that small businesses have over a big named company include: better personal service, and the ability to respond quickly to opportunities. Starting and managing your own business allows you to be independent. You are your own boss, and you are the one who gets to make all of the decisions. When you own a business It is not easy to open up a business, but it makes for a great challenge. According to brandongaillie.com “Over 50% of business fail in the first year, and 95% fail within five years.” It is also very time consuming according to Rick Schue, owner of Flex Gym in Racine “When I first opened up Flex I worked anywhere from 60-80 hours per week. I worked when I needed to work, the hard work was worth the freedom that comes with owning your own business”. There are many advantages that come to starting your own business that include profit, opportunity, and the challenge. Starting a business requires hard work and time, but the reward is available. It gives you the ability to have your dream job, if you plan on opening up a business I recommend that you do plenty of research on the business you plan on opening. Another good idea would be to work in the field for a few years before you start a business to make sure that really what you want to
