Developing basic electronic circuits and mathematical applications based computer programs, learnt during the lab sessions at school became my regular hobbies. That was what I loved to do. As time passed, these particular hobbies began to turn into a unique passion. This prompted me to choose Electronics and Telecommunications engineering as my major for my undergraduation. This realization garnered with excellent management attributes acquired through active participation in extra-curricular activities like, being nominated as the Secretary of the Electronics and Telecommunication department’s students association during the term of 2012-2013. My role involved in organizing various inter collegiate technical or non technical events, inviting guest speakers renowned in their field to enlighten our department students, solve the difficulties faced by students in their classrooms and college, development of various activity clubs etc. I also was an active participant of the ‘SWACH’ team in the college that helped in organizing various drives including cleaning of the river banks, organizing blood donation camps and providing elementary educational skills to the children residing in slums. I also got a chance to represent my college in the ‘INDO-SWEDISH Noble quiz’ organized by the embassy of Sweden in 2012.Besides this I have participated in various national level robotic and debate competitions, held at various colleges all across the country. Being the top student in my secondary school (with 85.5%), I got admitted into Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering at MIT, Ujjain. My curriculum enhanced my knowledge in Microprocessors, Digital Signal Processing, and Analytical and Industrial Instrumentation. Having a strong zeal towards Information System and Computer Programming, I have also learned different languages like C, C++, SQL and PL/SQL.
In summary, an electrical engineering career can be difficult to obtain if you are not focused and determined. The qualification requirements for jobs may seem impossible to achieve, but many times employers will work with applicants on some issues. Even though the government has predicted only a 5% growth through 2022 (Bureau of Labor Statistics, 2014) doesn’t mean that the advancement of technologies in the near future could increase that rate due to demand.
A fascination for Science & Technology and keen interest in the ever-growing world of technology motivated me to take up engineering. The power of research and delivering it for the growth of Society is what makes me interested in the technology side of science. I choose to major Computer science Engineering with an intense urge to delve into this challenging field. My experiences with Xilinx have heightened my hunger for knowledge in the VLSI field. Two months after joining the corporation, I applied to several part-time programs in the vicinity that would allow me to acquire an MSEE degree within two to three years. San Jose State seemed an ideal choice, for its evening MSEE courses would allow me to pursue two independent, full-time positions concurrently. The San Jose program has complimented my Xilinx duties well; both demand large levels of energy and enthusiasm while guiding me to my ultimate goal a high degree of education in VLSI sciences. The resources that I poured into both endeavors have reaped many gains. I have been promoted to a Product-Yield Engineering position within Xilinx's Coarse Grain Static Memory (CGSM) Product Engineering division.
I know that the major I chose as an electrical engineer is not an easy one, but I also know that this is the best fit for me, and that I chose the right one. Not only do I get to contribute to the ever-changing society that we live in, but I also face new challenges every day, which is exciting because that means that in my career each day is different, and I love taking on a new challenge, which will enhance my knowledge and make me a better electrical engineer.

At the dawn of the information age, to be young, as Wordsworth said in another context, is very heaven. Getting to know what goes inside computers, the engines of the Information Technology revolution, and knowing how to work with them enables one to understand the technology that makes it all possible. Understanding this, I chose to do my undergraduate study in Electronics and Communications engineering.
Being well acknowledged about the above saying has pushed me a mile further for every aspect of my life.
