Electrical engineering, I believe, is the only field where one’s work becomes the most instrumental part of one’s mundane activity and life, and the output produced stays forever to credit. My perception is that, this field requires a lot of patience, perseverance and management skills in order to be successful. The connection that electrical engineering offered between me and this world is the fact that you can become a person who can impact so many lives. This made me pursue Electrical Engineering. My decision for Master of Science in Electrical and Environmental Engineering is an effort to quench my thirst of knowledge and contribute to the field by positive research. After thorough consultation with my professors, seniors and careful perusal of web-pages of universities, I’m convinced that perusing masters at your university will greatly help further my career as a electrical engineer. I took up subjects like Analog Integrated Circuit, Power Electronics, Electric Drives and Circuits, Operations Research, Power System Analysis, Power System Switchgear and Micro-controller and its applications. In addition, I have also worked on mini-projects like “Alcohol Breath Analyser using Arduino Microcontroller” and “Intelligent Trash can using AVR Microcontroller”. These have given me good exposure for research work and also increased my confidence to work as a team and independently. From the feedback that I received about my project reports and presentations I deduced that I can articulate my ideas coherently.
