From my perspective, excellent electronic engineers are a group of gifted and imaginative talents who bravely explore and innovate, change the world with passion and innovation. I have always dreamed of becoming one of them. For realizing this dream, I started from China 's Jilin University and then joined The University of Manchester for BEng (Hons) Electronic Engineering to take more advanced professional courses. In UoM, I managed to gain GPA of 4.0. Yet, my pursuit of the dream does not end there, since I plan to apply for M.S. program in Electrical and Computer Engineering in the Carnegie Mellon University, where I can receive the best education among the world.

At the Univ. of Manchester, I got more opportunities to sharpen my research and practical abilities. In the coursework of VLSI design: logic gates circuit design, I designed schematic diagram and layout, and constructed models for simulations. Subsequently, I constantly adjusted relevant parameters based on the simulations and theoretical knowledge. In two weeks of continuous testing, I ultimately designed a chip circuit with a high response speed. Additionally, in the alarm clock design project based on Microchip PIC18F6722, I not only achieved the fundamental alarm functions on the basis of the limited circuit components and a microcontroller, but independently designed extra functions so that users can load music files via USB port. The clock could produce the corresponding melody as the alarm simply through a single buzzer. By combining the experience obtained from the past study and research experiences on image processing researches and buggy project, I will implement the control model of a robot to provide prolonged operations using the multispectral images collected by the robot and process the corresponding images to get information about the sample crops. After that a paper would be provided. I believe this whole project would provide me a more comprehensive idea of how a scientific research should be. Starting from the super-resolution image reconstruction to my final project for bachelor degree, I built a good foundation and nurtured great interests in Image Processing. Every time when I dig into this area, I find it is so fascinating and relates to all aspects of our daily life. A world-class engineering student, also known as an “expert learner,” is characterized by taking charge of their learning process, being active in their approach to learning, being motivated and disciplined as well as setting specific goals for themself. Becoming a world-class engineering student is a process that takes time and diligence. In order to become a world-class engineering student, I will have to identify where I stand currently in terms of goal setting, community building, academic development and personal development, where a world-class engineering student would be in each of those areas, and what I have to do in order to become a world-class engineering student.
Being the top student in my secondary school (with 85.5%), I got admitted into Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering at MIT, Ujjain. My curriculum enhanced my knowledge in Microprocessors, Digital Signal Processing, and Analytical and Industrial Instrumentation. Ever since I was a child, I have had a great interest for the automotive industry. From car trivia to novel innovations, my innate passion for the automotive industry has always made me research the minutest detail of every vehicle that interested me. Since elementary school I would draw sketches of cars which incorporated technology which were unheard of at that time; novel devices such as electrochromic windshields, HUD displays, and wind turbines which would constantly re-generate electricity for the car. While growing up, my hobbies largely consisted of constructing countless Lego and Meccano sets, and repairing my mom’s 19 year-old car. In middle school, math and science were my favorite subjects: applying science and mathematics to solve real-world problems has fascinated me and I have also taken further steps to reach my goals. I found my true calling at the age of 12 on a field trip to a milk factory. It seemed like the Disneyland of science with huge machineries, conveyer belts running all around, and instruments working about in their own rhythm with sheer intricacies and perfection. As a kid, I was eager to understand the mechanics behind this magical rhythm. The desire of gaining in-depth knowledge about Control System and Automation eventually led me to choose Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering as my undergraduate study.

The past two years have been the most pivotal and life changing years of my life. I am currently enrolled in my second semester as a full time under graduate student in pursuing Bachelor's Degree of Computer Engineering. I wish to be an applicant for internship with computer Engineering or other related researches. I am enthusiastic, hard worker, and flexible to learn new things. Briefly, my academic career has been focused on computer engineering and I have consistently maintained a GPA of 4.0. In addition, I have also successfully balanced my academic interests with the following activities: member of International Student Association, National Society of Black Engineers, IEEE member and Robotics team. Now I and the member of the Robotics team are working on NASA robotics project competition. Having been raised amongst low income family and society makes me to lose several educational opportunities. One of the first things that I have done in order to overcome the challenge of being a low-income student has been looking for a job. Getting to know what goes inside computers, the engines of the Information Technology revolution, and knowing how to work with them enables one to understand the technology that makes it all possible. Understanding this, I chose to do my undergraduate study in Electronics and Communications engineering.
The development of every nation hinges on the effectiveness of their transportation systems. Movement of goods, services and people to and from locations is made possible by transportation systems. The importance of effective transportation systems cannot be over-emphasized. Many countries face transportation problems and my country Ghana is no exception. A trip of about 30 minutes usually takes about an hour or more due to traffic jams. This is seriously impacting productivity and has become a topical issue in the country. The situation is the same in Uganda where I currently work. To this end, Transportation Engineers are needed to design roads/ highways that will stand the test of time, plan effective traffic management systems to reduce
