A Personal Reflection
We are soldiers
All soldiers are taught to maintain their personal hygiene; they are often clean, uniformed and organized? Placing everything where it should be in order to retrieve them when needed. Not only is the soldier taught to maintain good hygiene, he is taught to keep his weapon and all equipment clean and operable. The solider hygiene and operable weapon is the key to survival in the field, and often he would maintain this attitude even when leaving the military, and the habit is carried on to our wives and children, or we may perceives people in our family to take on the same attributes. But we must remember we are only soldiers, soldiers forever realizing that our spouses and children will never be the same …show more content…

We understand we must all die at some time because death is natural but to have fear and guilt chasing you all one’s life cannot not be fun. But to learn to live and experience everyday life may become an ultimate challenge. When we can acknowledge the negative as well as the positive of life struggle then there is a chance of equilibrium. To lose the equilibrium, one may find oneself becoming overbearingly succumbing to the negative thoughts and feeling that more than likely causes fear and create abnormalities in all phases of life. All boundaries are broken; survival is the constant, selfish, hopeless, and lacking control, the anxiety continues to mount and our mannerism become survivalist. We ask ourselves do we sank or do we swim. Can I survive without thinking about homicidal or suicidal ideation? Fighting of the stress of war is not easy at this point. these negative spirits are calling out to us; “come hear G.I., I am going to get you!” I can’t see him but I hear him, I know he is there; but I can’t get him, however; I do know something that can get him; (here come Mr. M-79’s launcher, a rounds right on top of his head) Yes he is dead for tonight, what about tomorrow? Will it be the same Death, yes it must come but not to me this night. I realize in death there is life, will there be life tomorrow. The unknown protects life.
