In this research you will learn bout what soft skills are. How to use them and possibly what would be the best skills for you to recognize for yourself. Soft skills are know as how you interact with others and relate to them (Huhman, H. Heather). Did you know that forty-three percent of employers want to hire people with a great cultural fit (Huhman, H. Heather). Seventy-seven percent of hiring managers are looking for people with soft skills (Huhman, H. Heather). Not just that but more employers prefer you to have soft skills for the job. By doing this you are describing yourself on paper and how you are within the workforce and how your hard skills will help you with the job. Resumes are just interviewing your hard skills or also known as technical skills, to see how you are with the machines or what you will be doing for that job. After you write your resume make sure to write a cover letter, using it as if you will be having conversation with the hiring manager, but on paper instead of face to face (The Daily Muse). Finally after all of this and the waiting you will hopefully the interview with the hiring manager of the job your applying for. During this your soft skills will come in hand. Some examples of soft skills are positive attitude, leadership, dependability, flexibility, and many more other skills that will be recognized for the job but the manager. There is an example of myself being flexible; While working as a babysitter/nanny, going to school, having doctor appointments, and working at Gold's Gym Daycare. There were a couple times I had to be flexible one time I remember was on a Friday, a family needed me to babysit last minute and still had my regular shift at Gold's to do. There were only two choices I had were either switch with someone on their shift or have someone cover my shift. I did not want to take off but move switch to an earlier shift that day. I was able to negotiate with a girl to switch shifts and I was able to work both jobs cause I was able to move my schedule around and be flexible. Mainly this is describing how flexible is defined, you learn the jobs of those around you, challenged yourself to master and talents, look to the future and bring in new technology and the most important one is, say yes (Pylayev, Mariya).
Positive attitude is very important to help, not just yourself but others also. "Recent survey has shown that eighty-four percent of human resource professionals are looking for positive candidates for jobs, meaning coming ready for work and willing to tackle whatever your supervisor needs you too (Porter and Chester Institute)".
