Social norms affect how people fulfil multiple different things and how they act in various situations. Social norms and values differ from person to person. Whether that means one social norm is superior to one person than another. Groups have specific unwritten expectations about how people are suppose to act and treat others. Some of the unwritten rules of the social norms may obtain controversial actions and not every person is willing to both accept and follow the rules. Groups that focus on different things can have a set of expectations that are shared among the groups. But as we grow and get older, the lengthy list of regulations significantly become very brief as professors and teachers expect their students to act professional and obedient. A quick lineup of three of the class norms that are put into play for my sociology class that I feel are most important is respect others opinions and ideas, appreciate others personal space and property and last but not least treat others they way you want to be treated or better known as “The Golden Rule”. These three are most important to myself because they all have to do with showing appreciation for the peers around you. Opinions can be and most of the time are controversial thus, making it difficult for others to agree with some of the same beliefs as one another. By considering others feelings, not just your own, it can make the point of view of someone else much more clear. In addition to respecting others opinions, it is vital to recognize the space of the common people you are currently in the room with. And finally, honoring others in a way that you would want to be honored is an exceptional act that will make each and everyone feel
