One in four people worldwide use Social Networks. Over the years social networking has been spreading and almost everyone has become a part of it, including myself. Social networking sites like Twitter and Facebook offer an online social platform where people can share interest, activities, and pictures and even update their status to let people know what they are up too. Social networking started to become popular around the time MySpace and Facebook launched. These social platform made is easy for people to communicate with each other and share photos and videos with users being able to comment on them.
MySpace launched in 2003, followed by Facebook shortly after in 2004. Users talked about theses platforms and got all their friends to join as well. Now a days, everyone has a profile. Since the launch of these successful social networks, many other websites were launched throughout the years to make social networking even more convenient, and seeing that this was a profitable online business. At first social networking was a fun way to pass a little bit of time, but over the years online crime also went on the rise, but crime was not the only con of social networking, there are many other reasons social networking can actually has a negative effect in your life.
Larger corporations started to use Social networking as a way to advertise to people who are involved with Social Networks. These companies use social network profiles to their advantage and watch the users interests and what the user does in order to advertise based on the person’s interests. This can be a good thing for the advertising companies but many people had a problem with this. As Facebook and Twitter g...

Overall you are the one to decide weather or not Social networking is something you would like to participate in, that is if you don’t already have a profile. Now that so many people are a part of a social networking, One in four to be more precise, its not that easy to put it all to a stop but I think that there should be atleast more security precautions that should be taken. You are not only sharing that information you put online to your friends, that’s one thing to remember. There are many people out there who do horrible crimes, they are online as well. Many people are still debating on weather social networking is good for you or not, but you need to put out the pro’s and cons and see what is more important to you.
The use of social networking sites is rising at great rates. According to a report conducted by the Pew Internet & American Life Project in 2012, ninety-five percent of individuals aged 12-17 use the internet; and eighty-one percent of those use social network sites (Pew Interest). Although it is known that social media can have a useful impact on lives, often times people forget that with a positive comes a negative. The continual use of social network sites will impact teen lives more negatively than positively because they can cause huge distractions from valuable and critical pursuits like education; they can also cause mental health issues and a reduction in communication skills.
Social media is so popular that according to a recent article published by forbes.com, “72% of American adults are currently using social media sites; that figure has gone up 800% in just 8 years”(Olenski). Social networking was originally created to simply reconnect people with old high school pals, but in recent years it has evolved into a completely different operation. When social media first originated it was also intended for adult usage, which has in recent years expanded into the usage of all ages. Social media can create a negative affect on lives because it has been proven to be a dangerous addiction, for it takes away interpersonal relationships that are essential in life, and it has been proven to prevent people from being productive in life.
Nowadays, it is not only common to have social media accounts such as Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram, but expected. Many people know the numerous benefits of signing-up for these accounts: keeping in touch with friends, being able to organize information and photographs, keeping track of dates or news, and many more. However, new research suggests that the use of these social media networks, specifically Twitter, can cause great unhappiness in relationships (“Twitter use…”). It appears that the social media page can act as a third member of the relationship. The use of these networks can take up so much time of one or both of the partners, that it is like having another person in the relationship. Unfortunately, this loss of time as well as the other negative affects social media has on relationships, can lead to communication issues and arguments.
handle? Some say yes, others might disagree. Social networking was created to connect friends and family together. Now, many predators use sites such as Facebook or Myspace to find their prey. This is the source of what parents are stressing about to their children. While many who use social media are enjoying meeting new people, they are also becoming distant from contact with real people and they are involved in a very surprising and dangerous environment.
When you think about social media what do you think of. Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest or Vine. Well social media is more than that. Social media is not just Facebook, Instagram or Twitter. Social media is any online website that lets you interact with other people, share photo and information and keeps you updated. Or do you think about how it’s made a positive or negative impact on today’s society. In my personal opinion I think social media has made both positive and negatives impacts on today’s society .Some of the negative impacts are cyberbullying and addiction, and the positive impacts are spreading the word and increasing business sales.
Internet has become a vital element in people daily lifestyles. People use smart phones, tablets, laptops or computers to access Internet. By the first decade of the 21st century, many Internet users use faster broadband Internet access technologies. As the Internet users grow, one of the Internet phenomenons that can be seen is social networking. Basically, people use social media to interact among people where they create, share or exchange information in virtual communities and networks.
Today social media has become a big influence on society. There are many different social media sites that allow people to interact with others. Such social media sites are Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. There are many more different sites, but these are the popular networks that are being used today. These sites allow you to connect with anybody you want to. Social media sites can make you feel connected with others and seem like the best thing, but at the same time it can be a weakness that many of us have.
Each user – depending on the capability and capacity of a certain social network – could share messages, ideas, pictures and even interests with users they are connected with. Social networking sites do bring a number of benefits to those who use them.
Social Networking is a modern and the easiest way to Communicate Online. It has revolutionized the way we communicate over large distances. We can get into contact immediately with Family, Friends, and other people from around the globe using any of the modern Communication mediums such as a Mobile Device or a Computer. There are many possible ways of Social Networking. You can use Social Networking Websites, Blogging, IMs (Instant Messengers), Chatrooms, and Dating Sites to get connected to people.
In this day and age, many individuals simply cannot go without some sort of socialization. Specifically speaking, most participate in online social networking sites. The most popular and used one is commonly known as Facebook. Facebook was created in 2004 by Mark Zuckerberg. By 2007, Facebook had over 21 million users, adding up to 1.6 billion page views every single day. The typical user spends over twenty minutes per day on Facebook and two thirds of the users log in every day at least once. It is not questionable as to why many people have a Facebook account. Facebook is generally efficient, easy for socialization, and not difficult to manage. Most organizations are affiliated with Facebook, as “almost 22,000 organizations had Facebook directories,” as of November 2006. A year after that in 2007, Facebook was named the seventh most popular website (Ellison 1). However, with anything well known, many oppose to using Facebook and hold criticism against the popular network. There are many flaws in the website and the relationships it starts online. Facebook is risking dangerous activities, ignoring privacy laws, and demeaning healthy socialization.
Social media has become a major epidemic in today’s society. According to millions of people have signed up on social media websites, allowing their basic information to be shared with the world wide web. Two of the biggest social media websites today are Facebook and Twitter. The new generation tends to use Twitter over Facebook, the older generation prefer Facebook over Twitter. Though Facebook and Twitter serve the same purpose and have many similarities, they both differ in many ways.
Recently there was a very big revolution in the field of modern technology, It has become popular everywhere. Social websites nowadays became a new trends for all people in the world, they affect our lives wildly. daily People depend on these sites strongly for different purposes. Lately we became dependent on Facebook and twitter completely and other sites.
Excess use of social networking is risky in today’s world. This issue is seen in almost all corners of the world. It is a product of technology which brings new kind of crime. Teenagers, especially high school students are addicted to this so called “Social Network”, over the past few years. This has both merits and demerits. If it is used as per need it is very useful in all ways but it is used for unlimited hours, it can be very harmful and can end up creating almost unexpected consequences. The people who use social network have no age boundary as it is also popular among children and old aged citizen as adults. On the one hand, it strengthens the relation among strangers and friends and on the other hand
There are about one and a half billion users of social media worldwide. It can be used to meet new people, find old friends, chat the day away, join interest groups, or even to share pictures. Social networks were mostly created so people could meet and find new friends. What most users of social media don't know, are the dangers of using social media. One example is when you meet a person online, because they are not always who they say they are. If someone is not who you may think they are, who could they be? They can be a stalker or a person that wants to steal your identity; which could be done easily thanks to new developments of new technology. Also thanks to new technology it is now easier for people using your information to track you. Posting personal information can risk your family and friends lives. Social media can be used as a weapon against you. It can even lead to a kidnapping, or even someone's death. Many people use social media to help to waste time, but could also become an unhealthy addiction. Also social media can damage your future. When you are a teen you tend to post pretty much anything you want. This is dangerous because you can post too much personal information. What most teens don't realize is that what they do on social media now can affect them for the rest of their life. It can even come back to haunt you in the future. Social media is dangerous because it makes it easier to be stalked, identity theft to happen, kidnappings and murders, and also can ruin your future.
Social media is becoming the most important and influential technological advancement in our country since the internet was created in the 1960s. For the longest time people were only limited to e-mails to make communication to one another and there were no large scale social media sites available. However, the internet started taking off in the early 2000s as new generations started bringing to the table new and more advanced ideas. Facebook was invented in 2004, where people were able to connect with whoever they wanted throughout the world to communicate and be able to share anything. On their
