Imagine the excitement of stepping on to a Champions League field, playing in the final, and listening to all 47,569 fans screaming in anticipation. That is the excitement that soccer brings into your life. Soccer is the 3rd favorite sport in the USA after basketball and then baseball but, it is the most popular sport in the rest of the world. The World Cup is the most watched sporting event in the world. I think soccer is the best sport in the world because the World cup is the most watched sporting event in the world, People start soccer at a young age, and the injuries that come with playing soccer.
People start playing soccer at really young ages such as 1 or 2. The youngest soccer player ever was a 20 month old baby who played for a Belgian team. The team was FC Racing Boxberg. Most kids in the US that play competitive soccer have already been playing for 9-10 years! That is why competition is so fierce in the U.S. That is why people start playing soccer at a young age.

The World Cup is a tournament for 32 teams that qualified to battle it out to be named the best soccer playing country in the world! It normally ends up being one of the European countries or South American countries that win because they have more talent over there. I feel very strongly about soccer and how I think it is the best sport in the world.
