It’s easy to see how Football players should change to flag football only. From tackles cause injuries, to they are more prone to concussions, to there is no point to beating each other up, changing to flag football is important for the safety of the players. Flag football could save a lot of players, like the 12 year old boy who shouted “Hospital now! My head!” a lot of injuries. If football players didn’t have to chance so many injuries how much longer would they get to play the sport they love so much? It’s easy to see why Indian Trails Middle School is the very best middle school. From its good location, to its hard working students, to the awesome teachers, Indian Trails Middle School is absolutely the very best middle school around.
It’s easy for people to welcome a new school day when they go to the very best middle school. How different would your attitude towards school be if you went to the very best middle school? It’s easy to see why the Black Plague was a harmful time. From many people died, to others lost their business, to over a million people were infected, the black plague was definitely a harmful time. It must have been so hard for the person who lost both their mother and sister to the Black Plague. Imagine what it would be like to live during Black Plague… would your business fail, would you lose your family, or would you even survive?
America’s newfound favorite pastime, football, came from a bizarre chain of events. Football started when a soccer player got fed up with just kicking the ball, so he picked up the ball and ran to the goal. His actions of picking up the ball and running with it fathered a new European sport, rugby, which was soon brought over to American shores, and was altered slightly, the shape of the ball and a few other small rules. The sport became organized into a league and produced the NFL(National Football League). The NFL had a slow beginning, but has picked up popularity, currently having a 9 billion dollar yearly revenue. Playing football comes with great costs, including physical and mental health deterioration, plus the amount of time spent prepping before game day. Which can pose several questions, “Why suffer for a game, Is it worth the money? Is it worth the fame? How great is the cost?” I believe that football, should have stricter regulations for the treatment of injuries, along with informing players of just how devastating a concussion can be, along with the other major injuries that commonly occur while playing football.
“Concussion rates for children under the age of 19 who play football have doubled in the last decade, even though the overall sports participation has declined” (Youth Football Concussion Statistics). Football is extremely popular in American culture. Children all across the world love watching and playing the sport. However, many studies have shown numerous possible long term effects of starting the beloved sport when young. Undeveloped brains have a harder time recovering from bumps and blows that occur during playing time. After examining the long term effects of children playing football, it is clear that the tradition of tackle football in youth should be held off until the brain is more fully developed,
All citizens should be able to look upon their flag with pride and glory. They should feel as though it unites them as a nation. Without a doubt, the current flag of Australia does nothing of the sort. It has become an anachronic symbol of the nation which poorly represents our society through the total disregard for the Indigenous Australians and their heritage. Not only does it suggest that we are a part of a colonial relationship, but it is constantly confused and associated with other countries with similar flag designs. A new flag will reinforce our national identity with a strong and inspiring design that is easily recognisable and unique to our country and its people.
Today I am taking a break from the series of articles I usually write, to bring you a subject I have thought about for a long time. I only started paying attention to wrestling in my teen years, so the "Attitude Era" was what I considered wrestling. I won't go into what made the era special, because that would be insulting to your intelligence, everyone knows what made the era successful, and why some fans still pine for it. Needless to say, it was "cool", it suited the times, and it broke the mold formed over the previous decades.
Stats for the football leagues are a big deal for fans. Fans are obsessed with numbers its a big deal for the fans. In 2001 there were 150,000 athletes that were injured at the age of nineteen and younger. In 2009 there were 250,000 injured athletes at the age of nineteen and younger. There is a 6.3 per 1,000 incidence a college player will suffer a concussion while a high school athlete has a 11.2 per 1,000. Risk of concussions in football is high and equipment should continue to improve, but rules should stay the same in order for the game to remain
Cheerleading isn’t a sport. Loads of cheerleaders have faced this controversial statement. An image of peppy girls, twirling in short skirts for the football team fills most people’s minds when considering the topic of cheerleading. The truth is, we are a strong team that works together to lift each other up, literally. Although we work day in and day out to perfect our stunts, tumbling, and routines, our talent still goes unnoticed by our peers. Negative stereotypes often surround cheerleaders. In my high school, we constantly battle to gain the respect of our classmates not just as athletes, but even simply as people. Some of the most involved and highest ranked students in our school make up our cheerleading squad, but those traits are forgotten
Football is not a dangerous sport for high schoolers to be playing. It is played to show others what great team work is all about. Football will always have hard hitting and injuries involved. But it is a great way to get into a good college. Great warm-up exercises before a game are great way to be ready for the game.
Cheerleading is a controversial topic when it comes to being classified as a sport. Cheerleading has been around one hundred plus years. Cheerleading was not always as developed as it is today— just like many other sports into today’s culture. Some of today 's celebrities, such as George Bush, started their glory days being a cheerleader. The definition of cheerleading is in the name itself-- to lead cheers. There are different types of cheerleading such as spirit basketball, spirit football, high school competition, and competitive club cheerleading. All of which have different skill levels and qualifications. Most high schools offer many different types of cheerleading and not all classify as a sport in some people 's eyes. Spirit cheerleading

Some schools force students to participate in organized school sports. However, I believe that schools should not make this a requirement. Some students may have medical conditions, family situations that don't allow them to participate in organized school sports, or they simply may not have the time.
Soccer the most popular sport in the world, since is the sport with more active players with around 270 million athletes. By having registered so many players, it’s not surprising that this sport has more fans than any other sport worldwide. Every team looks for a player that moves the ball, and that creates plays to score. This means a person that pass the ball through the entire game. To pass the ball in a proper way is one of the main skills a player needs to play soccer. Passing the ball, keeps the game going. Without being able to pass the ball accurately to your teammates, more than likely your team won’t be able to score a goal. The key for passing is to keep things simple. This means passing the ball to your nearest teammate that is not marked by an opponent.
Americans have known for more than forty years that alcohol damages the evolving brain of children. Americans have known for more than fifty years that cigarette smoking is harmful for the body. Americans have known these things, and we have done things to regulate it; the drinking age is twenty-one, smoking in enclosed public spaces is illegal. We have given up old practices for the safety and betterment of the world; with the exception of football. It has become clear that repetitive hits to the head in contact sports like football place athletes at high risk of permanent brain damage, yet parents still let their children play football. Parents should not allow their children to play football because their brain is not yet fully developed;
1.Before you do anything you need to check your heart, take a few deep breaths and ask yourself why you are about to step on the field. If your answer is that the game is your life, your heart, your sole then you are ready to take the field. Do not take the field if you have any doubt in your mind that you do not love this game.
