Words are a powerful tool of communication ,if used well words can build a relationship but also if they are not used well they can lead into misunderstandings and sometimes cause harm to the relationships. The use of language in communication allows people to relate to each other or argue about a matter that could have been brought and this can happened unexpectedly or unexpectedly .It is important to be aware of the effect of language so that we can use it the best way we can to the best effect .

It is normally used in an informal manner probably among friends .If slang is used in the business community where other colleagues are not familiar with it can be can be offensive to them .The business community needs clarity and the use of slang in the business can lead to misinterpretation of the important aspects .Other scholars have also argued that slang can be used in the business world for marketing purposes in trying to reach out to a specific clientele.
Sexist and racist language can also hinder communication.The use of sexist or racist language can discourage other people from associating with each other in a work place ..for example referring to women of an older age ass"girls" is considered as sexist language and is not acceptable .It is encourage to treat each other as equals in the work place
