Skincare and Treatments to Avoid The Knife
First of all, there are simple things that you can do for your skin. I call it “Beauty Fitness,” healthy skin is dewy and radiant! Just as we exercise our bodies to achieve optimal condition, our skin requires special care to get it in tip-top shape as well.
Workout for healthy skin:
• Cleanse
• Resurface
• Hydrate
• Protect
• Repair
• Moisturize
I also believe getting eight hours of sleep a night, drinking a lot of water, and eating healthy are a great help. Let’s not forget what you inherit in our gene pool from out parents and past relatives is part of it as well!
Cleansing is the first step in your skincare regiment because if your skin is not cleansed properly, the rest of your products you have invested in will be a big waste of money and your time! For home use, the Clarisonic does a really thorough job of cleansing your skin. A good morning (in home) routine would be:
• Cleanse
• Tone
• Moisturize plus lip and eye cream
• Sunscreen
If you are using a serum, put it on after you tone. Your product should be layered on from the lightest to the heaviest. You also can combine the moisturizer and sunscreen together to save a step. We need the sunscreen to help protect us from the free radicals that want to invade our skin! Always remember to also moisturize your neck and décolleté. You can tell a person’s age by looking at the neck and hands. So, take care of them as well!
Also, you add in on other days, not every day…exfoliate and do a mask as well.
There are so many lotions, potions, and treatments that can help aging skin. I’m sure I will not be able to name them all in a thousand words… so, I will touch on as many as I can. However, know that this is just the top of the iceberg! (So...

...reacted to the electrical stimulation. By the 20th Century, doctors used this technology in an experimental treatment of the skin, bone and muscle growth, and healing wounds (according to the Journal of the Advancement in Medicine).
Microcurrent has a good amount of revitalizing benefits and effects which are cumulative and get better over time. It helps you tone and lift your facial muscles back where they belong.
After the age of twenty years old, we produce less and less collagen per year. When we reach 60 years old, we produce zero collagen! Microcurrent helps to wake up your skin and start to produce collagen, which helps to reverse the aging process. Not to mention, you can get a nice price for this treatment that should be sold as a package of at least six treatments.
With that being said, I’m sure there are many new treatments on the horizon as we speak!
- Vitamin C (100 mg): Vitamin C is known to be an anti-aging vitamin that helps to promote brighter skin, smoother skin, improved hydration, and overall younger looking skin. In clinical studies, it has shown to decrease oxidative stress and protect against wrinkles and dullness.
These include fine lines, wrinkles and roughness. All the same, more research is a must to prove how it could stop skin aging. Additionally, there is a rumor that it could heal amyotrophic lateral Sclerosis or ALS. This disease affects the brain and spinal cord nerve cells for movement.
We have yet to find a cure, but they have found a drug that helps reduce

The Beauty Industry being such a wide market of services and products include providing for the care of our skin, hair, selling of perfumes and cosmetics (“What is the Beauty Industry?”2014) and now developing more extensively into basic cosmetic surgery and treatments, now gives society a big opportunity to pamper and nourish themselves in more extensive ways. Throughout this essay, the branches of dermatology and dermal therapies will be explained; common skin disorders and specifically a treatment called ‘Ultrasonic Peeling’ and how it can potentially help with skin disorders imposed today will be explored and described in detail. After the investigation of what Ultrasonic Peeling is and how it works, I will also state my opinion on how well I think the treatment benefits its users, give my evaluation if I would consider using it, what I think the positives and negatives are and in scenario, assess whether it is a treatment that more salons should consider offering.

The first feature a person can see is the outside of the body: the skin. Everyone wishes to have clear skin. Many struggle with self-confidence because of acne or skin disorders. Thankfully, we have doctors who can perform procedures to help the appearance of the skin. Dermatology can be a rewarding career despite the highly competitive and intense educational program.
The clinical application of ES can be dated as far back as 1812 when Hartshorne used electricity to promote bone healing in a patient suffering a tibial nonunion, later described in an 1841 publication (Wienke & Dayton, 2011). Research stayed in focus with bone stimulation via ES therapy for many years leading to the US Food and Drug Administration approved labeling electromagnetic devices for treatment of nonunion and delayed union fractures. ES therapy in chronic wound healing became a major research trend in the mid 1960s with a multitude of successful clinical trials to follow (Isseroff & Dahle, 2012). Eventually ES use in treating chronic soft tissue wounds became widely accepted and in 2002 the Centers of Medicare and Medicaid Services approved ES treatment in a clinical setting for certain types of chronic wounds and pressure ulcers. Until 2003, research focus stayed with ES therapy on pressure ulcers but later ...
The skin has 3 main function. It has to regulate body temperature, remove waste (perspiration), and protect. The skin is made up of 3 layers. The epidermis is the outer thinner layer of the skin that is made up of dead and living cells. The dermis is the thicker middle layer of the skin that contains blood vessels and nerves. Sweat glands are found in the dermis, they secrete perspiration through ducts to pores on the skin’s surface. To avoid problems like warts, boils, moles, acne, and sunburn you can wash your body daily, wear sunscreen that is 15 or higher, and check your body often...
One way of preventing dry skin is to spend less time in the bath or shower. Bathe or shower once a day and make sure you are in and out within fifteen minutes. This means your body's natural oils are not stripped. Use gentle cleansers on your skin, preferably ones which contain added moisturizers.
