Liu told me the damage to the bathroom door was from a previous argument between Wang and her which occurred approximately one month ago. During that argument, Liu locked herself in the bathroom and Wang kicked the door multiple times causing the damage to the door. That incident was not reported. The damage I observed on the front door and the miscellaneous items I saw in the living room floor area were not related to today’s physical altercation nor were they related to any domestic violence incidents. Forensic Specialist Herrera responded to the scene and photographed the inside of Liu’s apartment, the damage to the doors, and Wang’s injuries. Officer Hamblin offered Liu an emergency protective order (EPO) but she did not want one. Liu told Officer Hamblin, she was not scare of Wang and Wang was welcome to return home after she gets out of jail. Based on Liu’s and Wang’s statements, and the statement Corporal Alba obtained from witness Hogan, I determined Wang initiated the argument and was the primary aggressor during the incident. Wang’s injuries were sustained while Liu was attempting to get away from her to leave the apartment and call for
Caren Campano was a 42 year old woman working a decent job, and married to a man 15 years younger than her. Chris, her husband, was a drug addict that did not have steady income. The night she disappeared they had a large argument, and according to Chris, they both left the house in separate directions to cool off. She left on foot, and he left in the truck to a bar. The next morning he called her job asking if she was at work and they said she never showed up. He called and made a missing person’s report. The investigators went to their house and stated the house was in good condition, and did not look like she left. There was no signs of a fight. However, they found a large brown stain that was still wet next to the bed. When they tested it, it was positive for blood, and when they pulled the carpet back, there was an even larger blood stain on the cushioning under the
When Mathews heard Clinton begin to yell and hurt Donna through the phone, he called the police. When the police arrived, they noted the disheveled state of the house and the accused’s head injury. Note that, according to Dr. Kim Lenore, a BWS expert, the accused was at the fourth stage of BWS, in which the woman has already realized that she is not at fault for the abuse she is receiving and begins to realize that there is a way out and that she can find it. At this point, however, the defendant lied to the patrol officer and claimed that her injuries resulted from a fall. Dr. Lynn Johnson, Yale Law professor and psychology expert, agrees that this “excuse … is characteristic of the guilt stage. The defense can’t have it both ways.” If Donna had really been undergoing BWS in the way that she and the defense’s expert witness, Dr. Lenore, had claimed, she would’ve had no qualms against telling the police the truth and having Clinton arrested for domestic abuse. She didn’t do this because she had already planned her own way
On 03-10-16 at 1421 hours, Officer Harrell #3441 and I were dispatched to the PPD Records Lobby for a domestic violence investigation. Upon our arrival, we met with Victim Supaporn Avina who told us the following information in summary:
DSS received a report of physical abuse, physical neglect and substantial risk of physical abuse on March 3, 2017 alleging there is chaos in the home. After returning with his brothers from their cousin’s house, the boys had to go to bed. The reporter stated that Xzavia banged on his mother’s bedroom door on three separate occasions wanting something to eat. The first time he was told to go back to bed and a popping noise was heard. The second time Ms. Kimberly Dawkins grabbed Xzavia by the head, shook him little and told him to go back to bed. The third time Ms. Dawkins grabbed Xzavia, threw him on the bed, got a gun, held him down and pointed it at him. Reporter states there was no clip in the gun. Ms. Dawkins was reported being upset and it was reported that she left the home for twenty minutes but came back. It was reported that while Ms. Dawkins was gone, Xzavia was very upset and he was crying and Tyzhaun stared punching holes in the wall. It was reported that Xzavia says he wanted to die and that Atmorris went and got a knife, stated to Xzavia, “You want to die?”, here’s the knife and the two older brothers, Tyzhaun and Atmorris left the house and Xzavia chased them. ...ng her daughter. It also stated to me that not looking after a child in this case and letting the boyfriend doing whatever to the child is consider neglect homicide and voluntary manslaughter.
The victim fell from her bathroom window, in which she and the defendant resided. Prior to the fall, the victim was in an argument with the defendant leading to him forcibly entering their bathroom. Although the series of events leading up to the victim’s fall are unclear, it has been suggested in the prosecution case that the victim was either pushed out of the window by the defendant or voluntarily jumped out.
She then ordered Empress Wu to grow her hair back and come back to the Tang court. She did what she was told, and came back. Empress Wang’s plan was to take away the affection that Kao Tsung gave to Hsaio Shu-Fei. Empress Wang’s plan worked, but it also backfired on her. Empress Wu got Kao Tsung’s affection, but still, Empress Wang was not satisfied because she still didn’t get any affection.

The police claim that Ms. Tran yelled at Marshall to get out and grabbed an Asian vegetable peeler to throw at him. Marshall then ordered the petite woman to drop the “weapon” several times. Dang Bui argues that this wasn’t the case. He witnessed no order from the policeman to drop the weapon nor did the officer identify himself. Dang Bui also noted that Ms. Tran spoke very limited English and would not have been able to order the police to leave her house.
She advised that Lisa became argumentative and stated "you're so ugly, how you let your kids kiss you.” Marion advised that Lisa then threw a VHS tape at her which barely missed her face. Lisa then picked up another tape and began to swing it in the direction of her. Marion stated in defense, she put up her hands and attempted to block from being hit. Marion advised she then shoved her which made her fall to the ground. After Lisa got up from the ground, they both went their separate ways and called the police. Both the victim and accused were advised that I would create a report for Simple Assault and they could sign criminal charges anytime up to a
There are many different types of domestic violence. Physical abuse is the most obvious form, but this is not to say that outsiders always recognize it. Generally, physical violence causes bodily harm, using a variety of methods. Slapping, pushing, throwing, hitting, punching, and strangling are only a few methods. An object or weapon may or may not be used. There is not always physical evidence of physical abuse such as bruising, bleeding, scratches, bumps, etc., therefore, absence of physical marks does not necessarily mean physical abuse had not occurred. Physical abuse sometimes escalates to murder (Morris and Biehl 7, Haley 14-17).
This crime took place at different time era, where domestic violence, wasn’t brought to the attention of the courts and the public. In article written by Find law, “Domestic violence became an increasingly popular issue in the 1970s and 1980s. As awareness for violence between intimate partners grew, so did criticism on the manner in which police were responding to the issue. Many believe that police don 't take domestic violence calls seriously because police intervention would be inappropriate in what some may deem a family matter
Mr. Rodriguez called 911 to report loud music from his neighbor’s house. He then walked to his neighbor’s house with his firearm and a video camera. After the confrontation with his neighbor, he called law enforcement once more to tell them he felt threatened and that he was standing his ground. While Paul Rodriguez waited for law enforcement to arrive at the scene, he used deadly force against Kelly Danaher. In this case, Mr. Rodriguez initiated the confrontation and there was no proven evidence that he was in danger (Flatow,
