Should Kids Under 18 Be Able To Go To Concerts? Concerts or live shows are a huge part of a teen’s/youngster’s lives. They want to be able to go to a concert to see their favorite musician and be able to live in the moment, and create memories by going to live shows. The question is, should kids under 18 be able to go to concerts? There are many opinionated people out there that agree only on some circumstances, while there are some that disagree. Letting your kid go to a concert is a great way for them to express themselves in appropiate ways, and if you don’t want them to go alone, let them go with a parent or friend. Not to mention, that they’d be supporting their favorite musician. Letting your kid go to a concert will allow them to express themselves and really live in the moment. The first question that you ask before letting them go to it of coursewsaas is, is the concert appropriate or is it more inappropriate and crowded. Doing research always helps, doing this research on the artist before helps you understand is the singer is appropiate, doesn’t swear, and to see if the audience would be more rough or mild. Next, of course, if you’re still unsure on letting your kid go to concert unchaperoned, you should definetly prepare them by putting them through scenarios and tell them how they …show more content…
should react in case something bad happened. Finally, the number one thing is how to know if your kid should go to a concert. If your kid is more independent and doesn’t need to be supervised, then they show responsibilty, they should go. If the kid needs to be supervised at all times and has a past where they’ve acted bad, they probably don’t deserve it. Are you unsure of letting your kid go to a concert alone? Go with them! You’d be able to supervise them and make sure they’re behaving and are safe at all times. Parents always feel better if they went with their kid. If your kid isn’t responsible enough for them to be allowed to go alone, then you should defiinetly go with them, they’d for sure feel safer with their parent rather than their friend. If your kid is younger than 14, then you should definetly accompany them. As I’ve said before, to know your kid is worthy enough to go, they at least have to be responsible and independent. If your kid is not responsible, then you should probably not take them, cause they don’t deserve getting to go somewhere just for nothing. Letting your kids go to concerts will allow to them to support their favorite artists.
The most asked questiion would probably be, how do concerts help the artist? When all the money adds up from the live show that the artist played that night, 50% to 70% of that money goes to the promoter and artist. 15% to 20% of that money goes to the manager of the artist. The rest of the money that is not counted against the artist, promoter, and manager, will go to fees that need to be paid and the people that are in the crew. You also help the artist by buying a concert ticket and by buying their merchandise, that still helps a ton to the artist even though it doesn’t sound like
much. People often disagree with having teens and kids go to concerts, here are their thoughts. Kids shouldn’t go to concerts since they’re way too immature to go to something as complex and crowded as a concert. Some kids are obnoxious and ruin concerts for other people that are just there to enjoy concerts and seeing their favorite singer/band. Some kids are actually responsible and just want to enjoy the concert and sing along. Secondly, kids shouldn’t go to concerts unsupervised since they’re too loud. Okay, if you don’t want to hear yelling and people getting excited to see their favorite person live, then maybe you shouldn’t go to a concert. Of course, a parent should supervise their kid at a concert, if they’re younger. If they’re older, then they probably shouldn’t have to be supervised. Finally, some concerts cuold be too inappropiate for a kid. Some concerts are inappropiate but that’s up to the parent if the kid should go. You should always do your research of the artist before you let your kid go. If the parent thinks it’s okay for their kid to go to a concert like that, then that’s totally their decision. People under 18 should go to concerts because it would help them express themselves more, with or without a parent, they’d be supporting their favorite musicians. I personally think that it’d be beneficial because you’d get to see a side of your kid where they’re excited and happy to see some of their favorite acts. I think that letting them go to a concert alone will help them feel more responsible. It would also be a great time for them to meet their favorite musician and interact with them without a screen in front of them. Did you want to go to a concert when you were young? If the answer is yes, think about your kids, you should let them go and take the oppurtunity to go to a live show or concert.
I. Introduction A. Should 16 year old teenagers be able to drive? B. “Those who favor raising the driving age say that statistics show teenagers are more likely to get into accidents than adults. What they don't say is that statistics also show that men of all ages are 77 percent more likely to kill someone while driving than women.
Teenagers have for long been a constant bother to many parents, for many years. It is during this stage that a large number of individuals engage in rebellious acts and are anxious to try out almost everything they lay their hands on. It is clear from the illustrations that music does have a great effect on teenagers. Parents should therefore combine effort in instilling a sense of responsibility and good morals to their young ones since they are the future leaders of the world.
In conclusion this report has helped us understand the significance of Music in America. Also, the impact it has on music we listen too. Music is very much like a big chain reaction. Rock ‘N’ Roll, much like music today, stood out and was in a way rebellious. Parents now hate Rap and we love it. People in the 70’s loved Rock ‘N’ Roll and parents hated it. This shows that maybe no matter how much older people deny it, the time gap and generation gap is not too far apart. Without Rock ‘N’ Roll the World would without a doubt be changed. Any guess to that of which way would be a good one.
We play music loudly with our friends and families at social gatherings and ultimately it creates a friendly and open atmosphere. Now the last thing we would think about would be that at one of these social events one of us may die. In recent years there have been more and more deaths and injuries at musical festivals all throughout the United States. Although the number is much lower than deaths and injuries from automotive accidents they should not be over looked. Music festivals are becoming more and more popular and people are flocking to festivals all around the United States. These music festivals in today’s society have turned into drug infested parties in which people’s live are endangered and people themselves are exposed to drugs and unsafe festival conditions.
Rock and roll was a form of rebellion among teens in the fifties. Most parents saw Elvis Presley as the devil himself. Now, in the twenty first century we have half-naked Britney Spears parading all over the television and most parents could care less. Within a fifty year time span we went from bobby-socks to no socks and sometimes no shirts at all. In the fifties singing about blue suede shoes was somewhat controversial, although the teenagers now a days listen to lyrics that possess such terms as "I'm a slave for you", or "I want to rock your body", most parents usually just turn their heads. Although the lyrics that many teenagers now listen to are unacceptable, many people just turn their heads and accept the fact that they are teenagers, just as the parents of the fifties teens did.
The brains’ final stage of development is at the age of twenty-five, which is the final stage of development for risky behavior. Should the United States really lower the drinking age to eighteen? There are many circumstances why the United States should not allow drinking at such a young age, but many feel they should. Starting to drink alcohol at such a young age leads to alcoholism, drunk driving, and has dangerous consequences on the body.

Marilyn Manson. Eminem. Limp Bizkit. Rammstein. All of these musical artists have been under fire in the past few years by government officials, the media, and activist groups. Supposedly, their music conveys too violent of a message. The sounds and words these artists have so carefully crafted have been targeted as the cause for violent acts, especially by young people. For example, Columbine shooters Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold idolized German industrial bands such as Rammstein and KMFDM, as well as American shock rocker, Marilyn Manson. The public has been quick to blame these musicians for violence in the United States. People are calling for government regulations in the form of ratings, warnings, edited material, and even bans on such allegedly offensive music. But how far is too far? Should the government regulate what should rightfully be the responsibility - and the right - of parents or guardians?
The legal age limit to drink in the U.S. is 21 years old currently. Even though the legal age limit is 21 to drink, there are many people who are abusing this law and drinking illegally. I believe that the legal age limit should be lowered to 18. In order for this to happen other U.S. citizens will have to vote to lower the age limit. I am interested in this because if it was lowered it would make it legal for my age group. Although there will possibly be more alcohol related incidents resulting in injury and possibly death. Lowering the legal age limit will allow people who do it illegally now to be able to do it in a safer environment. This will result in less alcohol related incidents. The age limit to drink alcohol should be lowered because the benefits overtime will out way the harm it will cause.
where they are now. “You can never judge a book by its cover.” Some of these musicians pour their hearts out into their music. They want these teenagers to learn from their mistakes and have a better childhood then they did. They don’t want these kids to get into gangs and start doing drugs. They try to influence them to stay in school and get a education.
Some teenagers or children of the twenty-first century live their lives by the saying "you only live once" in the hope their lives will become exciting. They arrogantly ignore age limits that were created to protect them from the impacts of living by this widely misunderstood expression. This attitude towards age limits is stupid and irresponsible; only life threatening consequences will come from their arrogance. Everyone should take responsibility to guard the childhood of many from the negative impacts of age-restricted material by taking age limits seriously.
If the musician wants protection from unauthorized listening of his live performances, that he should find some form of self-protection¡Xby only performing for small groups of people or for audiences that agree to pay for entrance into an auditorium? And that he should stop crying about people listening to him sing in public without pay, and about the police not arresting the illegal listeners?
The importance of teens and their music is what get teens through their day. Everyday traveling down the halls of school there are hundreds of people with headphones. Teens listen to music everyday and most teens can not live without it. Music is what teens understand and it does not matter what type of music it is. What types of music do teens listen to? Some music that teens listen to are rap, rock, country, gospel, contemporary christian and much more. Do particular music genres affect teens and their attitudes? “When teenagers use music as a mood-modifier, it can be used to reinforce and perpetuate negative emotions as well as positive emotions” (Allen, 2013). It is clear that music has an effect on teenagers' attitudes. The type of effect depends on the genre of music, with some genres causing positive effects and others negative effects.
Also, music might be looked at as an outlet for today’s angry and energized teen. Without this outlet of stress and complete angst, maybe the suicide rate would increase, or the school shootings number would go up? Teens will continue to listen to such music that their parents loathe, nothing will change that; this may be looked at as a good thing from my point of view.
There is an event that I just can describe as one of the most unique and memorable in my life: attending my first concert. After years of listening to Ron Pope’s music, watching his YouTube channel, and following all of his social media accounts, the satisfaction of seeing someone whose music has been the soundtrack to my life for so long was unreal. There were moments that I had to internally remind myself that this is, in fact, happening in real life. Being a dedicated (some may say eccentrically so) fan is tough work – and I was rewarded with two hours of pure magic for one night. Attending my first concert was a unique event that I will always remember fondly because of the atmosphere, the amazing performance and the sense of connection
