Should millions of illegal immigrants be able to reside in the U.S. without fear of being deported? Well, many immigrants face problems such as dealing with wars going on in their countries and poverty, so, many of them have no choice but to come to America. Illegal immigrants should be able to stay in the U.S. without fear of being deported. Due to wars going on in several Middle Eastern Countries, immigrants should be able to ride in the U.S. , for it is too dangerous to live in this type of conditions. After setting up an interview with Sahar Haimed, a 15-year old immigrant from Yemen, she shared with us her reasons for coming to America. "America is a free country, there are many countries in the Middle East that are at war , and under bad conditions, some people have no other choice but to come here illegally." ((Haimed) This quote that she stated is saying that immigrants come here because of the insane conditions in their countries. Now although, wars are a countries. Now although wars are a big problem and reason whether should be able to stay here, there are many more reasons as well. …show more content…
a lot of money. According to theatlantic.com, "removing all 11.2 million undocumented immigrants, both forcibly and through Mitt Romney's infamous 'self deportation' policy, would take about 20 years and cost the government between $400 and $600 billion. The impact on the economy would be even larger, according to the study : real GDP would drop by nearly $1.6 trillion and the policy would shave 5.7 percent off economic growth.” What this is saying is not only would deporting all the illegal immigrants take too long and cost too much, but it would cause serious damage to many parts of our economy so we shouldn't risk
The statue of liberty is one of America’s famous icons. It stands 305 feet above Liberty Island looking at New York’s historic harbor and enshrining the idea of freedom from oppression. The Lady Liberty has been welcoming millions of immigrants seeking a better life in the United States, however illegal immigration is becoming a much larger issue than when she was built in 1886. With over 12 million undocumented immigrants in the United States, the question frequently arises, What should be done about them? Now is the best time to figure that out! The illegal immigrants should be allowed to stay in the United States of America. The illegals assist in balancing out demand for low wage workers and continue to boost the American economy. They benefit our local and state governments by paying taxes and dividends
In the U. S today, the approximated population of undocumented immigrants stands at averagely 11 million. Therefore, this has created a hot debate in Congress about the action to take over the undocumented immigrants. Those opposed to illegal immigrants suggest that, their stay in the United States effects U.S citizens on the job market negatively . In addition, illegal immigrants are viewed in certain quarters as takers in the sense that illegal immigrants benefit more from public resources than the american-born citizens of the U.S. However, the reality is that immigrants contribute positively to the U.S economy and pay significantly into the system compared to what they send back home. In addition, the contributions associated with undocumented immigrants involve sustaining the solvency of the SSTF (Social Security Trust Fund). In this sense, the use of cost benefit analysis by those supporting immigration restrictions are unfounded and do not reflect the facts on the ground (Nadadur 1037). The opponents of undocumented immigrants believe that having more undocumented immigrants in the U.S is costly; however, there are no solid reasons to prove that undocumented immigrants are a burden to the treasury. Instead, the undocumented immigrants play an important role in boosting the economy and in particular by taking up jobs those citizens perceive as demeaning because the money they earn goes back to the economy through taxes resulting from consumer spending when they send money back home.
The policies implemented by the United States to strengthen the border and enforce immigration policies have led to the abuse and profiling of undocumented immigrants. Undocumented immigrants live in constant fear of deportation and are subjected to multiple human rights violations as they are abused, exploited and discriminated against. Immigrants are racialized and stereotyped. The US government has passed laws that discriminate against undocumented immigrants, making it harder for them to live and survive in America. These laws are due to the perception that undocumented immigrants are a burden on the US economy, but on the contrary undocumented immigrants provide an economic benefit to the US, and due to the benefit they provide society
Immigration has been a problem for so many years. This issue began in the 19th century and yet is still a major problem in the U.S. Illegal immigrants don't have many rights living in the U.S. They have a hard life because they don't have the same opportunities as a u.s citizen has. Many of these people get treated unfairly simply because of the fact that they are illegal. There is cases where they have been treated aggressively by the authority. Everyone needs equality no matter where they are from. Most of these immigrants are latinos that come from central america. People from the united states are allowed to go and have a nice vacation in these places but yet those there have to cross a border and put their life at risk just to have a better life. Why do these people have to risk their lives in look for something better. The united states promises equality and this is what attracts others and its sad that they can’t come in legally without having to risk their lives. The ones that are here are working hard and most of them do no harm. Deportation should not be used on illegal immigrants.
Everyday over 11 million people battle with the fact that they can’t be legal in America. Hiding in the shadows, petrified of what might happen to them if they are caught trying to help their kids and families be successful in a safe home. Millions of undocumented immigrants are denied a “path to citizenship” due to immigration laws. These laws need to be altered and should allow these hurting families a chance to be legal. If these immigrants get deported, the United States is losing vital resources, they will fear losing their families, and since they are trying to get right by law, why not give them a chance? Furthermore undocumented immigrants are worthy to fight for, and this is why.
The theme of education and undocumented students has been a key issue for many decades. Undocumented students are often deprived from higher education because of their migratory status. They not only have to face discrimination and fear of deportation, but also after high school, they have to face the crude reality that their dreams of success and educational achievement are far from becoming a reality due to their lack of opportunities. Many personal stories shared in William Perez and Douglas Richard’s book “Undocumented Latino College Students: Their Socioemotional and Academic Experiences.” Relate to their fears, difficult conditions, emotional challenges, limitations, and other circumstances that multiple undocumented students live daily
For centuries, migrating has been a life changing decision for people that choose to enter the United States in search of a better future. Therefore, immigration is the permanent residency of people that choose to move to a new country. There are debates concerning the immigrants who enter the United Stated illegally and as the daughter of immigrant parents, I am fortunate to be born in this country.
In America there is a serious epidemic that many people do not notice. As the majority walk through the streets freely, work for sufficient pay with safe work conditions, there are people who are silently suffering. A large number of the population don’t have equal rights specifically the right to drive. This part of the population is known as illegal immigrants. Illegal immigrants should continue to have the right to get a license because they made sacrifices, already work in dismal conditions, and U.S. citizens waste the privilege.
“I am not the ‘Illegal’ you think I am, and immigration is not what you think it is” Why do people cross the line illegally? there are many reasons for undocumented immigrants to cross to the united states do to the poverty in the country, high level of education in the united states, and the better opportunity of jobs. Many immigrants decide to emigrate from their country of birth to seek a new opportunity for all the family but analyze the information is not only one culture a lot of different cultures immigrant to have a better life in the united states. Undocumented immigration is a big issue in the united states because many immigrants come to live the “ American Dream”. Immigrants from all around the different country
Among every other country in the world, the United States of America is where people feel the most comfortable place to come and live a better life. Immigrants are people who leave their counties to reside in other counties that are rich and safe to better themselves. Every year people immigrate to the USA for many reasons. Many people are having difficulty living in their native country such as over population, jobless which make the economy so hard. People from outside of the United States think there is peace, love, equality, free education, jobs, good food to stay healthy, but most importantly freedom of speech to express yourself in America. Today, I will only focus on some reasons why people in my country immigrates to America. This is

their higher education since it is hard for them to return back to their home countries (229). In
Illegal immigrants should not be deported in my opinion, if they are innocent people who are working to support themselves and their families. Legal immigration takes too long and that is why there are so many illegal immigrants in the country. There are around 12.5 billion illegal immigrants in the U.S. as of 2017. Many of whom are working hard and not doing anything illegal, which they should be allowed to stay in the U.S. Illegal immigrants should be allowed to stay in the U.S. if they have applied to have a green card or have done some sort of paperwork to stay in the U.S.
The United States is often referred as a melting pot because of its large immigration rates. “The Land of the free” has a hugely wide range of cultural diversity which helps this country. In the past couple of years the Immigration rates have grown drastically. Immigration has spiked an extreme debate in congress on whether illegal immigrants should or should not be deported. I think that illegal immigrants should not be deported.
A child reunites with his or her mother for the first time in forever, put yourself in their shoes and imagine what it would be like. How would you feel? Immigration has been an important and frequently debated topic in the U.S. because of many people migrate here legally and illegally and the effects it has in the country, but first what is immigration? According to the Oxford dictionary, Immigration is the action of coming to live permanently in a foreign country. In the last few years, a lot has changed with the Immigration policy in the United States. According to American Immigration Council (AIC), the body of law governing current immigration policy, provides for an annual worldwide limit of 675,000 permanent immigrants, with certain exceptions for close family members (AIC, 2014). Everyone has different opinions about the change, but I am more interested in the reason behind why people migrate to United
