“The polio vaccine, tested on animals, reduced the global occurrence of the disease from 350,000 cases in 1988 to 27 cases in 2016 because of animal testing.”(World Health Organization). Animal testing should be allowed.
Like Lindsey Andrews says in her article “pros and cons about animal testing” Animals are actually treated with care, in order to get the best and accurate results animals have to be very healthy. Animals are taken good care of by specialist and vets. If the animals are stressed or overcrowded the results will be considered inaccurate, So people try and do there best to take care of them. They are also provided a space for themselves along with toys water and healthy food choice. Some people actually say animals are treated better in the lab than in pet stores. They are also cleaned and washed regularly. So if you think about it animals are provided a “home”.
Animal testing also saves many lives, “ American women use an average of 12 personal care or makeup products each day, so product safety is of great importance for women who use these products”(Testing), If these products aren't tested …show more content…

If we used different testing subject,(that is a big risk)The results could be inaccurate and unsafe for humans; So animals are our best testing subject. And animal testing is to see if medical treatment would be safe and effective. Some people refuse medical treatment that has been developed through animal medicine, but that would mean almost all the medical treatments there are. People may say to get rid of everything that has been tested on animals and never do animal testing again, but that means throwing out most of the medical treatments that exist and letting people suffer through their pain instead of taking medical treatments. And it would also mean getting rid of most makeup and care products that women use
