In research, scientists test on innocent animals when they could be testing on actual people that owe society a debt. Animal’s bodies are very different from humans. One difference is in digesting food animals digest food ten times faster. An animal's digestive system can break down chemicals that humans cannot. Drugs that scientist have proven to work on animals has failed in humans as in HIV drugs and cancer. Yes, it is risky to test on humans and, they might die, but use inmates that have life sentences that owe society a debt. Animal testing should be stopped because their bodies are different,Their bodies break down chemicals better, And animals act different if humans are present.

One of the reasons animal testing should be banned is that animals' bodies are very different compared to human bodies. If this statement is accurate why do we still continue to test on animals if their emotions change when humans are present? Also, a lot of animals that scientists test on are nocturnal animals. If test on an animal and leave it overnight while we sleep how will we know how it reacts to the drug? On the other hand, many people that do not agree with banning animal testing might say it is too risky to test on humans. They argue the point that if something goes wrong a person might die because no one knows if the drug is safe before it is tested. While this is true, perhaps there is another solution, there are people that owe a debt to society these people are prisoners that have a death sentence and this is a way that maybe they could serve
