Upon our arrival we contacted Witness Michael Allen Campbell, who told us the following information in summary: Campbell was monitoring the video surveillance cameras from the front manager’s office.
Campbell observed a male Black who he recognized from prior shoplifting incidents inside of the grocery store. The suspect reportedly gave Campbell a name of “Mike” on a prior shoplifting incident.
Campbell saw Mike in aisle #3 where the laundry detergent is sleeved. Mike was seen placing ten bags of Tide Pods laundry detergent down the front of his pants. Mike was then seen walking to the rear of the store. Mike picked up four bags of chicken wings and one pack of lunch meat. Campbell continued monitoring Mike on video surveillance as he (Mike) walked out of the north door without paying for the above items.
Campbell walked outside of the store and saw Mike riding a blue bicycle to eastbound Orange Grove Boulevard and out of sight. Campbell returned to the store and contacted the police department to report the
incident. Campbell described Mike as a male Black, approximately 20 years of age, short black hair, with scars on his face. Mike was described as wearing a black shirt (with a red design on the front), blue jeans and black tennis shoes. Mike was reportedly riding a blue bicycle as he left the location. Campbell told me that he will be able to recognize Mike if seen again. Campbell advised me the Vons Grocery Store is desirous of prosecution. Campbell gave me two CD copies of the video surveillance. Campbell also showed me video surveillance of Mike taking the laundry detergent while in aisle #3. I took a photo of Mike as he was walking inside of the grocery store (see attached photo). The photo was later uploaded into VeriPic. I conducted an area check for Mike and any additional witnesses but met with negative results. I returned to the police station and placed the CD’s into evidence. DISPOSITION: Case to Detectives.

In July 2003, Sheriff’s Deputy Todd Shanks of Multnomah County Oregon was performing a routine traffic stop on a vehicle driven by William Barrett. During this stop, Shanks arrested Barrett because of an outstanding warrant and then searched the car. A pressure-cooker found in the trunk was believed to be used in the making of methamphetamine. Barrett informed Shanks that the owner of the pressure-cooker was “Gunner Crapser,” and that he could be found at the Econolodge Motel in a room registered to a woman named Summer Twilligear (FindLaw, 2007, Factual and Procedural Background section, para. 2). Deputy Shanks quickly learned that there was an outstanding warrant for a “Gunner Crapser” but to not confuse the wanted man, whose name was not actually “Gunner Crapser,” with someone else using this name.

“On October 21, 2012 Sergeant William Butler and Officer Samantha Brown stopped a car in the 2000 block of East Street for failure to yield the right of way to a pedestrian. In the course of the car stop it was determined the driver was Jeffery Cox. According to the DMV registration information, Mr. Cox owned the car. Sitting in the car front passenger seat was Amanda Watson. When the officers checked on any outstanding warrants on the occupants of the vehicle, they received a positive response on Ms. Watson. Police arrested her based on an outstanding arrest warrant for misdemeanor shoplifting. When Ms. Watson was ordered out of the vehicle to be handcuffed Sgt. Butler noticed a plastic bag of a substance he suspected to be crack cocaine lying on the front seat where Watson had been sitting. Incident to the arrest on the warrant, Sgt. Brown searched Ms. Watson and found $650 in small denomination bills but no devices with which to ingest crack cocaine.”

I Daniella M. Genzale was caught shoplifting from Sephora in Roosevelt Field Mall. I put two items of makeup into my pocket book and walked out of the store passing all points of purchasing. When I left the store the security made us stop and ask us to give them what items were taken and don't pretend nothing was taken because he watched us. Then we walked back into the store with the security and they took us into the back room, once we were there he showed us the video of us taking the items and calculated how much was stolen all together. We were in the room for about an hour before the police officers came and hand cuffed us. At this point I was in tears crying, I was worried my mom was calling me and she was nervous. I still don't understand
