Sheikh Muhammed Al Deen Al-Albania is described by many as one of the greatest scholars of the 20th century. He was well known for his contributions in the teaching and discovering of Islamic knowledge. During his life furthermore, he turned down many positions from different universities and Muslim Organizations as he was much too busy gaining more knowledge or teaching it to others. During his life, many senior scholars and other Imams would go to him to seek knowledge and answer any questions or doubts they had. He had much respect from other great scholars like him, as they would stand, even when teaching their classes, to give their salaam to him. In one article, the writer states
“During his lifetime, the father, the Shaykh, ‘Abdul-’Azeez

After this project, Sheik’s interests increased in the field of the hadith of the Prophet (saw). He loved studying hadith so much, he spent up to 12 hours in Al-Makatabah adth Dthaariyyah library, often too engrossed in his studies to eat or sleep. Because of this he was given his own room there and a set of keys to the library to pursue his education. All the while he worked on and edited more than 300 works which would later become significant to other Hadith scholars.
In his career, the Sheik published and printed many times his book on fiqh called Tahdheer-us-Saajid min Ittikhaadh al-Quboor Masaajid, the translated title called “Warning the Worshipper against taking Graves as a Place of Worship”. He also r=mentioned and referenced hadith from a

In 1954, the Sheik first started giving informal weekly lessons. So, his outspoken views and popularity concerned Syria and he was put under surveillance though he was not politically involved. Later, after his books were published in print, he was invited to teach Hadith by the vice president of the time, Abd al-Aziz ibn Baz of the Islamic University of Madinah. After his arrival, his views on the law system angered people and because they did not match that of the Hanbali School of Law, an elite group from Saudi Arabia named Wahhabi was angered. After he published a book highlighting that it is not mandatory to wear the veil, Niqab, he created an uproar in the country as well as the means for his opponents to end his time at the University without another year after. In 1963, he left to Saudi Arabia, leaving his watch shop to one of his brothers and returning to the library once
In 1961 James Baldwin met Elijah Muhammad, the leader of the Nation of Islam movement at the time. Baldwin’s experience within the Christian Church prior to his meeting with Elijah helped him analyze the Nation of Islam. This also allowed him to draw parallels between the Nation of Islam movement and the Christian Church. How James Baldwin understood the way the Christian Church worked, and a close look at the Nation of Islam, brings to light the credibility of organized religions.
‘Aisha was like a bridge between the time of the Prophet and the future of Islam’ (Haylamaz 2012, p1). This quote showcases that Aisha Bint Abu Bakr played such a significant role in regulating the Muslim Ummah. Aisha was one of the wives of The Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him). She has contributed a lot for the sake of Islam as many hadiths have been narrated from her. Aisha had remarkable intelligence and was very knowledgeable. When she would beat someone in an argument, The Prophet would display a smile upon his face and would
The first article discussed the begging of Islamic religion that was founded by Prophet Mohammed who left a huge struggle among his people for whom should succeed the highest position of Islam. Thomas W. Lippman gives an introduction to the Muslim world in the book Understanding Islam. He has traveled throughout the Islamic world as Washington Post bureau chief for the Middle East, and as a correspondent in Indochina. This gave him, in his own words, "sharp insight into the complexities of that turbulent region." However, the purpose of the book is not to produce a critical or controversial interpretation of Islamic scripture. It is instead to give the American layman an broad understanding of a religion that is highly misunderstood by many Americans. In this way he dispels many myths about "Muslim militants," and the otherwise untrue perception of Islamic violence. In this way the American reader will become more knowledgeable about an otherwise unfamiliar topic. However, the most significant element of Lippman’s book is that it presents Islam in a simple way that makes the reader feels his awareness rise after each chapter. This encourages him to continue learning about the world’s youngest major religion. Understanding Islam dispels many misconceptions about the Muslim world, and presents the subject in a way that urges his reader to further his understanding of Islam through continued study.
The Abbasids tried to manipulate Islamic law by trying to either avoid it or find a way around it to get what they want. The Abbasids called themselves the rightful rulers of the Muslim world because they were descendants of Ali, whom had transferred the right to rule, to them. This gave them more power than anyone else, because they thought of themselves as the chosen ones. Therefore, they did anything they wanted, which included avoiding some laws or finding solutions to get what they want quickly. We know that the caliph wanted/desired a particular girl but he could not have her because she was still owned by Jafar, so the qadi who is Abu Yusuf found a way to marry the girl to a slave man who then would divorce her and give her to the caliphate.

Fard Muhammad on July 4, 1930. And I started to study the teachings of nation of Islam (NOI) too when I was in the prison. Elijah Muhammad the leader of the NOI taught that white society actively worked to keep African-Americans from empowering themselves and achieving political, economic, and social success.” It was 8:30 PM and we both went to the dining table to eat dinner. On the dinner table I asked him to tell me more about his journey to Nation of Islam and then later on why he separated from the nation of Islam in 1964 and the same year he embarked on an extended trip through North Africa and the Middle East. He actually laughed and said that “it is a long story but I would just like to say is that I left the NOI because there was growing tension between Elijah Muhammad and I. Perhaps because of the rumors of Elijah’s infidelity. And after I left the NOI I embarked the trip through North Africa and Middle East and that journey proved to be the both political and spiritual turning point in my life. And during that trip I also made the Hajj and converted to traditional Islam. And that is where I changed my name to El-Hajj Malik El-Shabazz. After I came back, in march 1964, I formed the Muslim Mosque, Inc. because I was no longer with the NOI.” We were done eating and came back to the living room and sat there for a while just to have a cup of

While the medium of calligraphy has commonly been ink on paper, contemporary artists continuously stretch and challenge the boundaries this traditional art. Two artists in particular represent such efforts to provide new shape and life to calligraphy: Hassan Massoudy and Mattar bin Lahej. Transforming calligraphy from a static art, Iraqi artist Hassan Massoudy introduces theatrically-inspired form and movement to his letters, while Emirati artist Mattar bin Lahej transitions calligraphy to the third dimension by his sculptures. Despite the visual differences between these two artists’ works, both reflect to re-explore the expressive capacities of the word.

The Prophet Muhammad died in 632 CE. He was believed to be the Seal of the Prophets, meaning the last prophet; therefore his grave is a very sacred place (A Concise Introduction to World religions, 210-215). Visiting the Prophet’s grave is a controversial issue. Scholars have different perspectives on traveling to his grave, each based on the Islamic Law, shari’ah. Al-Nawawi and Bin Baz each have differing yet similar rulings on the proper way of Pilgrimaging to the Prophets place of burial.
On the board on Monday morning, there were numbers one through five and they each had a religion written next to them. 1 was Hinduism, 2 was Christianity, 3 was Judaism, 4 was Buddhism, and I was lucky enough to get 5: Islam. Oh, I know so much about Islam culture and their religion, are you kidding? I don’t even know where Islam is. I’m just kidding, it’s not a country. There are many differences between Islam and the United states like our religion, clothes, and food, and becoming a Christian or a Muslim, but Islam is the second largest religion in the world, so it’s important to a lot of people. The followers of Islam are called Muslims. Becoming a Muslim is not an easy process. You must do a long list of tasks. After you become a Muslim you must do everything in your power to try to have a good Muslim lifestyle.
