A first concert is special. Music has different meanings to everyone. Growing up I really liked Selena Gomez’s music because, although, I was young when I first started to listen to it, I matured as she did, and her music was always there. The connection you have with an artist is very special. Although the artist may not know who you are, to you it feels like they wrote that song specifically for you. That is how Selena Gomez made me feel. I connected with her songs, so when I knew that I would be able to see her perform I was extremely happy. When I was younger all I ever wanted to do was go to a Selena Gomez concert. Selena was born on July 22, 1992, in Grand Prairie, Texas. I grew up watching her on TV as Alex Russo in “Wizards of Waverly Place” and listening to all of her songs from all of her albums. Concert day was here. We drove to Denver excited as could be. The whole ride there all that was running through my head was that I was about to see the one person whom I have looked up to for years in person. This was for sure going to be one of the best days of my life so far. Once we arrived we got some refreshments, and went to our seats. The opening act was a band by the name of DNCE, they did a really amazing job of opening up, they sure got the crowd pumped (Records). The lights went down and a video started to play, then Selena came up on stage. My heart was pounding as the beat was dropping. The audience was going crazy, so was I, she started to sing one of her hits from her album “Revival”, the first song she sang was “Same Old Love”. There was a whole dance routine to it and special effects as well. After that she played more songs from that album, as well as some of her older albums. The songs she would play were songs that I had listen to for months, even years. By the end of the night I went back to the hotel with an experience I was sure to never forget
