1.5.1 Scope of study The area of this research only will focus on the warehouse of PKT Logistics Group (Penang) Sdn Bhd. Moreover, the respondents only focus on 50 workers or employees that work in PKT logistics Group Sdn Bhd. The questionnaire will distribute to the employees that work in PKT Logistics (Penang) Group Sdn Bhd.
The reasons of the researchers choose worker in warehouse because worker that work in warehouse will have basic knowledge about the overall processes and system in warehouse and can answer the questionnaire without any bias.
In addition, the researcher choose to have a study in PKT Logistics Group Sdn Bhd because PKT Logistics Group Sdn Bhd is one of the logistics and transportation companies that implement latest technology and system such as warehouse management system, renewable energy and other. So, the researchers focus on PKT Logistics Group Sdn Bhd (Penang branch).
1.5.2 Limitation of study
One of the limitations of this study is limitation of data and sources. The information and sources for the world class warehouse performance is not many and only short description only. Lastly, the stores and warehouses are not communicating well which is resulting in confusion for both parties. Based on my research, one of the challenges faced by logistic company is capacity forecast. Capacity forecast is a general’s capacity theory that we should know it about warehousing.
