In my opinion I would rather go to Scifi land because one I would rather ride on rides than be in Alaska . Also, I could have buy a lot of treats at a amusement park rather than a cold climate. Finally, it would be a lot more fun to be where it is warmer rather than to be where it is cold. First, I would rather ride on new rides I might have not ridden yet than be in Alaska. Also, I think it would be a lot more entertaining than watching a glacier melt. Another thing is that it would be better because all the drops on the roller coasters get your heart beating faster. Also, you get tite suck in a kayak for a lot of hours. Second, you could by snacks at a amusement park but you can't in Alaska. Also, in Scifi land all the good smells like
I would have preferred to live in Pennsylvania out of all the thirteen colonies. Pennsylvania was a very prosperous colony due to the fact that everyone had economic opportunity. Also, the people had civil liberty, allowing them to surpass the other colonies that had multiple restrictions. In addition, they had religious freedom unlike other colonies. Pennsylvania had many great features compared to the other colonies.
“Fat Land”, a book by Greg Cristler, a health journalist who was formerly considered overweight, explains how America became the fattest people in the world. Before writing this book, Cristler was told that he needed to lose forty pounds and so to do so he enlisted a competent doctor, the prescription weight-loss medication Meridia, jogs in a congenial neighborhood park, a wife who cooked him healthy food, and access to plenty of information. Cristler is quick to add that those weren’t the only factors that led to his weight loss, but money and time were a big part of it. Cristler lost the weight, but he states “the more I contemplated my success, the more I came to see it not as a triumph of the will, but as a triumph of my economic and social
The St.Lawerence Lowlands region consists of two parts St.Lawerence Lowlands and great lakes. The parts are separated by a thin wedge of the Canadian Shield, this thin wedge is just across the St.Lawerence river and extends to the United States near Kingston Ontario. These Lowlands have bedrock formed of sedimentary rock, the bedrock can be seen in several escarpments in the Great Lakes Lowlands. The best known is the Niagara escarpment which extends from Niagara to Manitoulin Island, the Great Lakes landscape is characterized by flat plains with glacial hills and deep rivers and valleys. The Lowlands was formed by faulting which caused a rift valley, the valley was flooded with water close to the end of the last ice age by part of the Atlantic
Ask yourself “if I could take a trip ANYWHERE where would I go” well, I asked myself the same question where would I go? Here is my answer, I would go to the Bahamas because I think that I need to try something new. I think that if I went to the Bahamas then i would try everything because i am very deprived as in i don’t take advantage of the things i could be doing.

New England Landscape, No.8: Mt Monadnock, ca. 1912 - 1916 is an oil on panel done by Pennsylvanian artist Charles Demuth. It is not a large landscape, 31 X 471 cm, for such a mountainous subject but then Monadnock is small, as mountains go. Demuth used the Fauvist method to depict Monadnock, a perfect method considering his subject. Ranges of mountains line the Eastern and Western borders of New Hampshire, Monadnock stand alone in the southern portion of the state, alone and wild. Demuth divides his painting into a series of triangles, Monadnock’s triangular form is majestic in the background with light bright colors to the right and darker, storm tinted colors to the left. The shortened foreground continues with the triangular motif,
This was a time about seven years ago, I was six or seven years old and I had a huge fear of roller coasters. They always seemed too high and unsafe from my point of veiw. So when we went to the yeti themed roller coaster, "Mount Everest" in themiddle of the night at Disney World, I was shaking in my boots!
In this assignment, I will be trying to make an action plan for a change in local environment, and more specifically my home. Now I choose this particular place due to me being so familiarized with it, and looking at the criteria I believe my home could use some help, my home is in the city of Kitchener, Ontario. This city has a unique climate in my opinion as the weather changes between seasons, now many will say that it is normal but they have not seen the amount of change Kitchener goes through. Below I’ve put a graph that will help you better understand the climate change between months, Kitchener has a humid continental climate of the warm summer subtype; there are large seasonal differences, usually very warm and
(Greg Mottola, 2009). This film shows us two social issues from that era as, the sex before marriage, drug and alcohol addiction. At the same time explains us why the teens are attracted by these issues for example; the drugs. Basically, this film reveals us, the main causes of why some teens are influenced and get involved in these social problems. The main characters from this film James Brenna (Jesse Eisenberg) and Emely (Kristen Stewart); they are a young couple whom fall in love each other, both have similar objectives (attend to college), and they try to pursue their dream after their graduation from High School.

IFAD (2014) contends that PLUP is a “process that results in a land-use plan or several land-use plans for a given goal, objective or set of objectives” (p. 1). It is an interactive and integrated process to realize high level of participation in land use planning projects and most importantly, to provide local community greater control over the process of development. Its role is to bring actors together for the purpose of developing a common vision and to agree upon a way forward – as part of this, tenure security could be improved. In particular, it provides an opportunity for marginalized groups to take part in project development process. Moreover, PLUP provides information and direction to the concerned community and to decision makers
Land Art is created by combining art and nature in a complex way. Land art is also known as Earth Art or Earthworks. This art is designed directly in the physical landscapes with the help of natural substances and organic media like leaves, stones, soil, rocks, water, logs, etc. Mechanical earth moving equipment is also used by few artists. Artists show their reaction against industrialization and urbanization through the land art. Before the origin of modern land art, it has been already created by artists for last centuries. But this land art movement became popular somewhere between 1960 and 1970 in America and soon adopted by the artists all over the world. The main part of this art is reforming and redesigning of the landscape. As it is created by moving things around, adding some available materials and imported substances to the landscape so it becomes impossible to move it from one place to another. It is only developed to make some beautiful change in the environment for sometime as in the end it just degenerates. Some land artworks are very short-lived; just stay for a few hours or days, while others just designed in open and left uncovered so that they can be deformed by erosion or wind over time.
In this thesis, the main theories that seek to explain city land use patterns will be examined and
