He studied at Stanford and during his time there he became heavily influenced by the other religions around him. He then would go on to justify his own Atheism by researching the religions that were foreign to him and disproving the gods that are portrayed in Biblical or religious texts. Sam Harris is the co-founder and chief executive of Project Reason, which is a non-profit that aims to promote secularism and science for the general public.
